Totally superficial I know but I think she looks absolutely fantastic.

I’d estimate shes a 4-6 now and closer to an 8 in her uni days.

I’ve never said this previously, but right now she strikes me as a bit too thin. Not much mind. And the fact that she’s born healthy children is evidence that being this size is ok for her, but post Louis she’s thinner than ever.

If she lost any more I’d be worried.

@crispysausagerolls since a time when people, like myself, with a 23inch waist needed clothing.

if you have to denigrate and sling insults at slim women to make yourself feel better

See...more passive aggressive comments..."to make yourself feel better". Feel better about what?

The you was a general you not aimed directly at you formerbabe, although if the cap fits.

I can't believe this is still going on. I have no particular interest in Kate but saw this thread while watching Wimbledon and couldn't understand it. She looks perfectly normal. Very slim, but not at all ill. She probably exercises a lot and eats healthily and is naturally tall and slender. I bet she can order grilled fish with loads of steamed veg without lifting a pan and she doesn't have to snaffle a rushed cheese and pickle sandwich like many people. But I live in an affluent part of London and honestly it is full of people who look like this, some much much thinner. I passed 3 women who were thinner than she appears to be in the first 10 minutes of my walk today.

wishfull888 · 15/07/2019 18:21

There's no way her BMI is 19! Mine is 19 & at her height (5'9) I am no where near as tiny as her. She is underweight without question. In the green dress on Saturday she looked gaunt.

crispysausagerolls · 15/07/2019 18:32

Does it matter if it's not aUK size? I think it's a 4 over here isn't it?

It matters in that people should be discussing the same size otherwise it’s a bonkers conversation!

crispysausagerolls · 15/07/2019 18:33

Ontopofthesunset

Agreed!

formerbabe · 15/07/2019 18:34

The mind boggles...

SoupDragon · 15/07/2019 18:40

The mind boggles...

Only for you.

formerbabe · 15/07/2019 18:43

Only for you. And all the other fat bitches who have lost sight of what a normal weight is.. because that's what you actually mean?

formerbabe · 15/07/2019 18:52

And it's not thin shaming to say that you don't regularly see women slimmer than Kate irl. It's a fact. I don't.

Benjispruce · 15/07/2019 18:57

Interesting that you say in an affluent area. Do you think those women are at their natural weight?
Also do you think grilled fish and veg every day balanced? It's not.

Skyejuly · 15/07/2019 18:58

She looks tiny! Like a 4...she is very very slim and does look better with a bit of weight on I think

pikapikachu · 15/07/2019 19:03

I have a dd who is 5 foot 8 and size 6-8 and she's bigger than Kate who I'd say had the measurements to be a runway model so probably a size 2-4 tops. Victoria Beckham is a UK size 4 and Kate looks similar.

SoupDragon · 15/07/2019 19:06

No one said it was thin shaming.

Saying they look like famine victims is thin shaming though. And insulting.

SoupDragon · 15/07/2019 19:08

No.

formerbabe · 15/07/2019 19:10

Who's they? Clearly I don't think all thin women look like that. That would be ridiculous. Not speaking about individuals but I do look at many celebrities and also catwalk models and think, my god, take away the make up and glam clothes and you look seriously malnourished and unwell.

SoupDragon · 15/07/2019 19:11

Clearly I don't think all thin women look like that.

Irrelevant.

crispysausagerolls · 15/07/2019 19:14

Like it or not; there is a correlation between obesity and poverty. Lack of education and lack of financial means to eat well or be part of a gym etc. I’m sure affluent areas do have slimmer people - and why can’t they be at a natural, normal weight if they are slim? Grilled meat and vegetables is actually exactly the sort of thing humans are designed to eat, funnily enough.

NoTheresa · 15/07/2019 19:17

This has become a bun fight. No offence intended in using that expression, btw.😉

OooErMissus · 15/07/2019 19:18

I don't think anyone can realistically say she looks 'too thin', 'gaunt' or 'like a famine victim' here, at the men's Wimbledon final.

She looks healthy, fit, toned. Absolutely lovely, with an enviable figure.

OooErMissus · 15/07/2019 19:19

And this time with the photo..

To be curious as to what Kate Cambridge eats and how she exercises?
RedDogsBeg · 15/07/2019 19:30

Agreed OooErMissus, I don't know what some posters on here are looking at and seeing, they must have a very skewed perspective.

Ontopofthesunset · 15/07/2019 19:47

The reason I mentioned 'affluent' was because people who are either money or time rich, or both, have more resources to help them exercise and eat well. My borough has very low levels of obesity apparently, so I thought it might be relevant to my random sampling! Two of the women I saw (of my sample 3 because then I stopped checking) looked perfectly healthy - one looked very very thin, much thinner than Kate. That photo from Wimbledon a couple of posts ago is of a perfectly normally slim woman. Yes, she's slimmer than probably most women of her age, but she doesn't look unhealthy at all to me.
