Can I wear this black and white jumpsuit to a wedding?

I am having a crisis, my outfit that I was going to wear is too tight on me. I've put on quite a bit of weight recently so I need something nice and loose to feel comfortable. I got this jumpsuit without thinking about it being white - whoops 🤦. Is it acceptable to wear as an evening guest? I was thinking maybe bright pink/mustard heels to add some colour... I appreciate it's not to everyone's taste but please be kind.

It’s lovely!!

I’m picturing really bright pink stilettos with matching bag!

OddHoleySocks · 13/07/2019 16:53

I do have one issue with it.

Its sold out in my size Sad

Its lovely, I don't think anyone will have an issue with it.

MsMcMurphy · 13/07/2019 16:57

Gorgeous! I am thinking fucshia or mustard accessories.

EdWinchester · 13/07/2019 17:08

It's not remotely inappropriate.

MitziK · 13/07/2019 17:09

I think bright colours would work really well with it. And definitely dressing it up more than they have in the photo.

Combined with my million freckles, I'd just look like I'd come straight from painting a wall, but it's definitely fine for a reception.

PeoniesarePink · 13/07/2019 17:12

Dressed up, it will look fine. Heels, bag and belt in a really bright colour like pink, orange or blue just to take it up a level.

Ravenesque · 13/07/2019 17:18

It's really lovely and will look great.

I'm currently trying to find something that is "just right" for a wedding I'm going to in September and having a real mare over it. I want to wear a dress because I so seldom wear dresses and I really like to once in a while but nothing is saying to me "Choose me, I was made for you!" I have a feeling I'm totally overthinking it and making life difficult for myself.

thecatneuterer · 13/07/2019 17:19

Of course. It's perfect for the occasion.

BirthdayDreamer · 13/07/2019 17:21

For an evening guest, it's fabulous. Have a great time.

Bookworm4 · 13/07/2019 17:22

Far too casual, every girl under 25 is sloping about like this with trainers on. If it’s a pretty posh do I think it’s a no.

MrsT4 · 13/07/2019 17:24

Oh thank you OP! I saw a friend of a friend wearing this on Instagram yesterday and really wanted to know where it's from.
Buying now as well Smile

SweetLathyrus · 13/07/2019 17:25

Not if you look as stroppy as the model OP! Wink

Better shoes and some colourful accessories and it's fab - jump suit are surprising flattering!

Sweetpearose · 13/07/2019 17:26

Yes very funky!

ChihuahuaMummy1 · 13/07/2019 17:30

Monochrome is usually great for a wedding but I think that is far too white tbh.It is lovely though

summerofladybird · 13/07/2019 17:33

No, it's far too casual for a wedding.

IHaveBrilloHair · 13/07/2019 17:35

I think it's great if you dress it up a bit and add some colour.

bellabasset · 13/07/2019 17:40

I think fuschia as well, or black stilettos, contrasting belt, lots of ways you can make it dressy, hairdo with a headband or ornament etc.

bellinisurge · 13/07/2019 17:43

It looks fab

EatingBreadAndHoney · 13/07/2019 17:48

It's nice, but not for a wedding. Far to casual. It screams ”can't be arsed to dress up for your special day” and if everyone else is dressed up to the nines you'll stivk out like a sore thumb.

EatingBreadAndHoney · 13/07/2019 17:49

My ”too” changed to ”to” Hmm

Amibeingdaft81 · 13/07/2019 17:49

I didn’t expect to like it
But actually it’s pretty decent

itsallgoingsouth · 13/07/2019 17:53

It's lovely but don't wear a hat with it!

PickYerWillyCircus · 13/07/2019 17:55

Lovely! Great find OP. It's very similar to the dress that's so super popular at the moment that it has its own insta... hot4thespot

Alsohuman · 13/07/2019 17:58

It’s one of those things that can be dressed up or down. Wear it with trainers, it’s casual. Wear it with heels and jewellery it’s perfectly fine for a wedding. I wouldn’t rule out a hat either, a boater would be nice.

GrabbyGertie · 13/07/2019 18:00

It’s lovely. ❤️❤️❤️ I wouldn’t over accessorize it as it looks good on its own. I wouldn’t wear a hat.
