"OK, I'll bite" ?

It's one of those mysterious MN phrases that no one would use in real life. It sounds so pompous. The question wasnt aimed directly at you, Sharon!

Just eff off with your biting.

NaiceHmm

cherriesandoranges · 12/07/2019 20:52

😂😂 when the ultimate insult comes and someone calls another "goady" hahaha it's not a word I've ever heard in real life. Is it a real word or a mn thing?

ShatteredBrianne · 12/07/2019 20:54

That's the spirit Pinkie. Some right silly phrases chucked about on MN.

Wonder why everyone is so triggered tonight. Going off on tangents about sexism and what not. Its aibu, not life or death Grin

somebody sniffs, 'Well, you all sound delightful.'

I quite like it (although don't use it!) as it's bitchy yet understated. I picture them in a cardie surveying a corpse strewn room and just tutting in disapproval at the mess.

LoseLooseLucy · 12/07/2019 20:56

"Did you mean to be so rude?"

Why yes I did.

Macca84 · 12/07/2019 20:58

I hate the use of "baby", instead of "the baby". "Feed baby", "put baby to sleep". It really fucks me off. I've no bloody idea why it annoys me so much Grin

TrainWWYD · 12/07/2019 20:59

Did you mean to sound so rude?

Alright Claire

ShatteredBrianne · 12/07/2019 21:02

Out of curiosity how does one pronounce "naice"?

My head automatically reads it in a northern Irish accent. Don't know why Confused

"Well aren't you goody".........."quite"

The ultimate elitist comment after hours of bitchfighting on mn!

cherriesandoranges · 12/07/2019 21:03

"Goady" not "goody" lol hahaha

DodgeRainClouds · 12/07/2019 21:05

I hate it when someone writes ‘rant over’ makes me cringe.

Margotshypotheticaldog · 12/07/2019 21:08

I'm Brianne and so's my wife

QueenOfIce · 12/07/2019 21:11

My absolute favourite is "op you sound unhinged" fuck off.

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 12/07/2019 21:11

rant over

discuss

And anything to do with ,I have a spare grip for you op, you should stop past the grip shop on your way etc

Makes me cringe.

I miss the good old days of being incandescent with rage though 😂

PinkieTuscadero · 12/07/2019 21:14

I like when someone says something pretty mild and reasonable and follows it up with

or

PinkieTuscadero · 12/07/2019 21:16

I've read threads where people are fantasising about fucking Jacob Rees Mogg. If that's not unhinged I don't know what is!

AmeriAnn · 12/07/2019 21:18

It is a fishing phrase. When the fish are biting they take the hook and get reeled in.

QueenOfIce · 12/07/2019 21:19

That IS unhinged Pinkie, I'm talking about the, 'AIBU to tell the postman to not ring my doorbell before 4pm as baby is sleeping and I am trying to sleep when he sleeps, it makes me so angry when he rocks up rings the bell and wakes up Tarquin'

"Op you sound unhinged"

AmeriAnn · 12/07/2019 21:20

I think people are very common on MN when they say 'SAT' instead of 'SITTING'.

Common as muck.

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 12/07/2019 21:24

“Little one”

Child/DS/DD/baby are all shorter and quicker to type. Hate “little one”

DifficultPifcultLemonDifficult · 12/07/2019 21:29

I also hate it when the AIBUs are so obvious.

My neighbour strangles puppies in their garden for fun, deals heroin, but gets the packages sent to my house and shoots me and my dc with a BB gun when we are innocently playing in the garden. AIBU to think they aren't very nice people?

Like anyone would disagree with that.

Or the other kid of thread - a man came and kicked me today and called me a cunt because I accidently took the parking space he wanted.

Reply- sounds like he has a brain tumour

ambereeree · 12/07/2019 21:29

Give them a look and say "did you mean to be so rude". And get laughed at... Yeah cheers for that mn

ShatteredBrianne · 12/07/2019 21:30

I know the origins of the phrase. Just sounds silly on a forum.

Fucking JRM? Definitely unhinged 🤢

ambereeree · 12/07/2019 21:30

Or the threads where OP is the bestest mum with the bestest kids and everyone else is just utter shit

ShatteredBrianne · 12/07/2019 21:32

Yes DifficultLemon - the other one on here is the guy is a twat. Someone pipes up "could he be depressed/autistic/other"?

He could simply be a twat
