To tell you about my new powderbrows....

Good God they look like caterpillars crawling to get into ears
Why would anyone want to look so ridiculous.

WelcomeToShootingStars · 07/07/2019 08:28

The reason they look so awful is that they don't flow with the natural brow bone. A truly skilled eyebrow technician / beautician / tattooist etc works to enhance what is already there.

crazycatgal · 07/07/2019 08:29

These aren't to my taste but the people who are commenting in a downright rude way need to get a grip. When people on mumsnet are just plain rude about someone's appearance I always wonder what they look like themselves.

BitOfFun · 07/07/2019 08:41

I agree that some well, most microbladed brows can seem harsh, but I'm not convinced that these powder brows are the solution. The underside edge still looks very blocked-in to me.

I understand people's reticence about permanent make-up too, but I have a feeling that most of these brow effects will turn out to fade a lot over a relatively short period of time, purely so the beauty industry gets repeat custom.

Not my cup of tea either, but if they make you happy op then go for it!

Oysterbabe · 07/07/2019 11:05

I think they are ugly AF. I'm prepared to accept that I'm old and out of touch though.

Theworldcouldbemymollusc · 07/07/2019 11:08

I’ve just had another look - I can see the topside looks more fuzzy than the bottom - but the underside looks like someone has drawn a line along a ruler with a brown sharpie pen. Is the idea to look very unnatural as eyebrows just don’t do that?

Myheartbelongsto · 07/07/2019 12:35

Thank you for all of your comments, gorgeous day over here today so going to enjoy the sunshine and by that I mean get the washing done.

Well I love them!

EdWinchester · 07/07/2019 13:19

I really dislike big fake looking brows.

I have never seen anyone with them that didn't look somewhat grotesque.

Mum2lots · 07/07/2019 18:40

@Myheartbelongsto it's your face xxxx your choice xxx I trained in permanent Makeup with Claire Hobson who in my opinion is the best ever artist she goes with the persons face features not a drawn on stencil shape therefore her work is very individual I only hope one day to be as good as her xx I have seen amazing results for people with injuries and medical issues leading to hair loss that have improved people's lives but I have also seen how the individual blooms in confidence when they are happy with the outcome xx

@howwudufeel As a Scouser, I am offended. Grin

Just messing about, OP. Your choice, and good for you if you like them!

Dickybow321 · 07/07/2019 20:07

I think they look good, OP.

Mummabear12345567889 · 07/07/2019 20:14

I dont look good with heavy eyebrows and have to be really careful how I fill them in so i really wouldn't rock this look. But....

I think you look great op! It made me quite sad to see that you'd posted about something that you were really chuffed about and people have taken the piss or been unkind.

browzingss · 07/07/2019 20:30

My brows are naturally light and sparse - looks like I don’t have any without makeup and tints! I also like them to be more arched then they naturally are - they don’t grow in a flattering way.

Personally, I would prefer a result that looks a bit more natural and less ‘pencilled in’, because my brows are pencilled in on a day to day basis and I would obviously much rather have naturally full brows. So I don’t necessarily like the brows in the photo because I feel like mine look like that anyway if I fill them in heavily.

I can see why people like microblading though, when done well the tattoo looks like actual hair. The issue comes from how they look a few weeks/months on because they start to get that ‘pencilled in’ look too

browzingss · 07/07/2019 20:32

I dont think you should regret your decision at all though, OP. Having your brows already looking amazing at all times can do wonders for your confidence!

SilverySurfer · 08/07/2019 18:15

Well they certainly don't look like those pics

This is what is puzzling so many of us, if your look nothing at all like the photo, what was the point of posting the photo?
