... to ask about three things you think about every day?

I've NCed for this. For some context I'm in early 50s, nice DH & kids, good position financially (but big mortgage), jobs, health OK, etc. Lots of pluses, and the usual stresses of work, some family stuff, and so on.

I find there are things that I think about almost everyday.

  • Parents: passed away over a year ago after long illnesses. I miss them so much, and think about them every day.
  • DS: has friends, popular socially but struggles in school, not very motivated at all. He also has some manageable health issues. I worry about him.
  • Sex (life passing me by?). My DH is great on so many levels, but his interested has decreased hugely in recent years. I just sense it feels like a chore for him, even when he makes the effort. I daydream a lot ...

I initially put on a few pounds but now I’m slowly losing weight. However, my diet is so much healthier and I spend a lot less time thinking about food.

  1. Money, when we're going to have enough to be comfortable and not constantly worry.
  1. DS and his lack of eating/limited selection of food he will eat.
  1. My previous employer who passed away suddenly.

  1. How much I've eaten and how many steps I've taken.
  1. My family, there's always something kicking off.
  1. Guy in the office. Omfg.

Food.I love it and no sooner have eaten one meal than I'm planning the next one.Fortunately I have a very active lifestyle and like lots of healthy stuff alongside the odd but of cake otherwise I would pile weight on.
My family.Adult DCs but talk often and I think how their day is going,Plus a very frail ,old mum never far from my thoughts.
Nature, ,litter and plastic pollution.I am outside a lot so really notice the enviroment. And it's on my mind when shopping, making choices food wise etc.

I disagree @user1497863568, but would be interested to hear more of your thoughts.

DH, DD and many lost pregnancies

DM and DF - both dead. I dream about them every night. I fear I have PSTD (and I don't say that lightly)

What to work as for the rest of my life. I'm studying now but it's unlikely to give me more benefit.

Too bloody much on my mind in general!

Rainbunny · 09/07/2019 19:14
  1. How can I get enough protein today - I'm basically pescatarian (but I don't eat enough fish) and I eat dairy but I'm on a self-improvement program to get fit and strong and I'm doing strength training classes 3x week. I literally wake up every morning pondering this ridiculous question Grin

  2. Should I give IVF one last try. I've been dealing with infertility for 7 years or so, in my earlyish forties and everyday I think about whether I should accept my lot in life or try again despite the inevitable failure.

  3. My DH's health. He's a lovely person and a hard worker but his eating habits are focused on unhealthy, always meat based food. He's about 18kgs overweight and he's fully aware and knows it's impacting his health and wants to lose the weight... but he is incredibly lazy and basically hates all forms of exercise. The other problem is that even though he's significantly overweight, he actually carries it well because he's very tall and he looks better than he should physically. This allows him to lie to himself about his health when he looks in the mirror. There are several heart, stroke etc. health issues running in his family that he worries about (as do I!) but nothing seems to prompt a change and it's a subject I end up walking on eggshells about.

Other than these things, I actually have a lovely life that I enjoy and a DH that I love to bits.

How important sex is to me versus the life I lead.
My long term health prospects
My poorly but domineering mother and her issues

Now is my happy time but I am anxious about anxiety.

SuzieQQQ · 10/07/2019 06:53

My son that died 2 years ago, money, eating healthily/exercise etc.

LaBelleSauvage123 · 10/07/2019 06:53

DS2s health
DS2s schooling
DS2s future

He has special needs and thinking about him takes up most of my day.

TheVanguardSix · 10/07/2019 07:00

My kids: Immeasurable love manages to barely stifle my worries.
My husband: I hate watching our marriage slip away.
The novel I will never, ever write.
