Following on from this -it was just getting interesting. Someone posted about how Meghan called herself a feminist but hadn’t earned the title. I was interested to know how you earned the title- but the thread ended.

There haven’t been four pictures of a baby’s face though. We had a hand, some feet and a half-concealed top half of a face. And the photo call where Harry has to be asked to show the baby’s face

It’s what zlisters do while they’re waiting for their OK magazine to come out and they’re not allowed to show the baby to the public.

My hairdresser does Meghan's hair and did it for the post baby photos. She is very lovely in person as I am sure she would be and apparently expressed how she didn't now how anyone did the photos on the same day. I do think that was entirely up to her - no one knows what type of birth they will have.

Bertrand - come on a photo of a foot really doesn't count does it??

I think Meghan maybe is using social media as though she were still a blogger/influencer rather than a member of the RF.

No one thinks she ought to have done the steps thing. What some of us do think is that they need to shit or get off the pot - they can have all the privacy in the world or they can be active (and we'll paid) royals. They can't cherry pick the best of both worlds.
If they choose the latter then they need to be a bit more forthcoming.

Well if Meghan did want to do the hospital steps thing then she should have done.
But as MrsC wrote Meghan apparently expressed how she didn't know how anyone did the photos on the same day
So it's a moot point as Meghan didn't want to do that.

What I mean is if Meghan & Harry want to do similar to the Cambridges then they should do & the press should not criticise.

Though at the moment H&M could find the cure for cancer, make electricity free, pay for all the over 75's tv licences, turn water into wine & do the MN Rubber Chicken challenge all at the same time, yet certain tabloids & people would still moan how dare they.

A wave here & there still would not be enough for some people.

Why are we singling out H&M when there are far more important things to moan out such as the fiasco of our government, China's attempted crackdown in HK, tax avoidance by international conglomerates & individuals etc.
The RF are just easy game & we're the suckers who get whipped up into a frenzy by the media.

The Daily Mail says that H&M have said that they won't release the names of Archie's godparents.

Does anyone know whether the godparents are a matter of public record?

I can't find anything definitive, but Google suggests that some parishes show the names on their records and some don't ... which seems to imply it's not actually compulsory?

Oh come off it with Meghan staying longer at engagements - that is just not true. And also just plays into the pitting Kate and Meghan against each other.

Meghan is a grown up woman and I personally think she married down. But she knew what she was getting into - as in any role you can't cherry pick the good bits and leave out the dull bits.

If you take money from the public albeit indirectly then you do 'owe' them the waves and photos no matter how distasteful you may find it.

If you don't want to do it then just separate yourselves. They are both independently wealthy so could just live 'normal' lives dedicated to charity and that would be lovely.

Are they embarrassed about the god parents - is it Donald Trump?!

I agree the godparent thing is weird.

Maybe a few of us should offer ourselves up as a PR team. We could take one vocal spokesperson from each camp - so maybe Betrand, Ghanagirl, Mrsmaisel and some of the ahem critics

I really think the most criticism should lay at Harry's door. He really is not covering himself in glory. He has been in this game for long enough. He knows how 'the spare' role goes.

He should look at Edward and Anne for examples of how to just go about your business doing a lot of engagements every year. But they seem content to be the supporting stars and I am not sure Harry is.
