To think you're all milling around in the middle of your living room to The Cure

There were numerous grumbles about Stormzy and even more about The Killers (did anyone see Jimmy Carr sweeping the stage?)

Complete radio silence about The Cure, though.

Crowd chanting Lovecats! Wish they'd played it.

MadisonAvenue · 30/06/2019 23:26

The 80s was the decade of my teens and I loved the music from then but The Cure never really grabbed me so I couldn't really get into this.

BringOnTheScience · 30/06/2019 23:26

No Love Cats Sad

Chune · 30/06/2019 23:26

Aww but he looked so overwhelmed.

PickAChew · 30/06/2019 23:28

They HD to cut loads out because they were restricted to 2 hours

What no lovecats...no encore? Bbc coverage ended a bit bluntly there...

Sparklingbrook · 30/06/2019 23:29

Not my cup of tea back in the day or now. Bit meh.

BarbarAnna · 30/06/2019 23:29

They smashed it! I know what i’ll be playing on Spotify all week

Roundtheislands · 30/06/2019 23:30

I loved it! No encores for anyone, too tight on time

Sundancer77 · 30/06/2019 23:30

I like them, but it was too slow and not great so I didn’t stick with it..only liked Lovesong, missed the end ones..The Killers were amazing..! Stormzy was good but not really my type of music 🎶

Sparklingbrook · 30/06/2019 23:33

I wish The Pet Shop Boys had strayed on and the Killers had left the stage. Grin

Sparklingbrook · 30/06/2019 23:33

Stayed

BarbarAnna · 30/06/2019 23:34

@Sparklingbrook same! And maybe wandered on tonight and did a mash up with The Cure!

Sparklingbrook · 30/06/2019 23:35

Perfect. Grin

BarbarAnna · 30/06/2019 23:37

There is something wrong with my English in that post, but I can’t work out what! Time for bed!

Veronicat · 30/06/2019 23:37

Bloody amazing and so looking forward to seeing them in Glasgow on what will be my 9th time Grin

notacooldad · 30/06/2019 23:38

It's not hard to recognise a fellow 50-ish
Nowt wrong with that!

Roundtheislands · 30/06/2019 23:38

Yes I hated the Killers but loved PSB moment!

PickAChew · 30/06/2019 23:42

Yeah, Killers weren't as good as I hoped for but loved the PSB and Johnny marr finales

Enjoyed The Streets, just now.

Robert Smith looked so overwhelmed at the end ... it's like he gave a last glance at the crowd and thought 'I probably won't do this again'. I wish they'd been allowed an encore.

Roundtheislands · 30/06/2019 23:57

Me too Rabbit what a career high though

MargotLovedTom1 · 01/07/2019 00:07

Robert Smith's never had a brilliant voice IMO. Distinctive maybe, but not good. IMO
I know he's persona non grata these days, but watching Brandon Flowers tackling This Charming Man with Johnny Marr just made me miss Morrissey and The Smiths so much Sad.

pazwaz70 · 01/07/2019 00:08

I'm not a Cure fan but I thought they were brilliant. Robert Smith never missed a beat.
I must admit his look is a bit old fashioned now but that's his look.

Hidingtonothing · 01/07/2019 00:10

I was never a Cure fan particularly but thought they pulled that off pretty spectacularly tonight. Gutted they didn't show more of The Streets set, saw them live umpteen times back in the day so was looking forward to a little nostalgia trip Sad

Pinkarsedfly · 01/07/2019 00:13

I was just concerned when he went off stage for a bit.

He probably just needed a wee Grin
