I'm thinking Glastonbury might be a great way to celebrate my 50th next year . I might wear a bikini to and glitter just to annoy op.

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 22:17

User, do it!

Eustasiavye · 29/06/2019 22:17

Mr Bright side for the last song.

Found out I've been singing the wrong lyrics for ages!

Mummyoflittledragon · 29/06/2019 22:18

@JoannaCuppa
You just need to google Glastonbury disabled access and loads of info appears.

BringMeThatHorizon · 29/06/2019 22:18

I don't see how age matters to whether or not you enjoy going to Glastonbury. I have family in the village and have been going on and off from a very young age. If you've ever been, you'd know that there's a massive amount of things to do no matter what your age. A lot of it is very family orientated. There's literally hundreds of stages and areas for whatever you happen to be into - it's not all about the pyramid stage and the glitter. Seems a bit of a judgey and ignorant comment. If it's not your thing then that's fine, but don't look down on anyone else for doing things they enjoy.

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 22:19

Is it the ' jealousy turning saints into the sea' bit? I thought it was snakes for years!

Quintella · 29/06/2019 22:21

The Killers look and sound like a rock band created by corporate marketing execs.

Chemical Brothers on BBC4 with epilepsy inducing light show!

ShinyMe · 29/06/2019 22:21

Isn't Glastonbury every other year now @user7429001?

I think we should have a mumsent old fogey get together there in 2021! With everyone in face paint and rara skirts.

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 22:24

It might be on next year!
They had a break last year.
Wear mumsnet scarves.

Baritriwsahys · 29/06/2019 22:25

Glastonbury is definitely on next year, you can register now

JengaCupboard · 29/06/2019 22:27

Clearly stated by somebody who’s never been.

bee222 · 29/06/2019 22:28

Imagine being so fucking boring that you think music festivals and gigs should stop once you become older.

Loveislandfan · 29/06/2019 22:28

Is someone a bit jealous they’re not there?

Greenteandchives · 29/06/2019 22:29

Crumbs I remember when it was the Pilton Pop Festival. £1.00 to get in. A few hippies and a dog or two.I wore a kaftan and a headband and smelt of patchouli. TRex , Stackridge and Al Stewart.
Better not think about going again. Grin I’ll get on with my knitting,

Eaudear · 29/06/2019 22:29

Blimey, I forget how many absolute tunes the Killers have churned out over the years!

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 22:30

Green, knit a scarf and wear it next year!

StoorieHoose · 29/06/2019 22:31

It's Defo on next year cos it's the 50th - ideal for all us oldies to go to! Emily Davis was on the radio saying they had started booking acts already

Pinkarsedfly · 29/06/2019 22:31

I’m a bit partial to a bit of Mr Vennucci too.

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 22:32

The 50 th anniversary will be awesome I bet.

motherheroic · 29/06/2019 22:32

Love how the thread got hijacked and OP couldn't keep up with their bitter comments.

StoorieHoose · 29/06/2019 22:32

Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll is my life theme

ShinyMe · 29/06/2019 22:32

Oh ok, well then. June 2020 - let's all go!

Quintella · 29/06/2019 22:33

There is no better theme, Stoorie babe Grin

The80sweregreat · 29/06/2019 22:34

Brandon has no waist and looks like he drinks gallons of water everyday. Bless him

WalnutCabinet · 29/06/2019 22:35

Brandon Flowers looks bloody awful. What the hell has he done to his face?
