Aibu to find this heat too much. I am so not a summer person, love the actual summer holidays but not the hot weather. Melting here already at 25 degrees and climbing.

I bet you have low heating bills nauseous

SecretWitch · 29/06/2019 15:04

I hate this...took a cooling shower..5 minutes later the sweat is running down my back. My hair has gone rogue. I want autumn now.

StumpyinSomerset · 29/06/2019 15:17

I like it mild or warm but this heat I find aggravates my IBS. Not pleasant.

Looking forward to the temperature dropping a little.

darkriver19886 · 29/06/2019 15:19

YANBU currently sat in my living with the curtains closed. I love sunshine but my body doesn't.
I am incredibly pale and have a heart condition. Had to go to Tesco this morning and came back in and flopped on the couch.

Asta19 · 29/06/2019 15:21

It's 33 outside here but I'm shut in my room with the portable air con! So it's a much more reasonable 20. Luckily I have no young children to look after/supervise, so I can just stay holed up here until it passes.

AquaPris · 29/06/2019 15:25

34 degrees in c London. I normally hate heat but im going on hols tomorrow so am in the mood

DeadDoorpost · 29/06/2019 15:29

Reaching 33 degrees here at 5pm, but will feel like 35degrees. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I hate the summer as it is.

Managed to do all the laundry outside though.

MoHunter · 29/06/2019 15:32

I’d cope a lot better if it wasn’t for the fecking hay fever!

So nobody goes out ever in hot countries? Seriously? That hot for months on end where I lived and yes of course people went about their usual business. Hmm

DontCallMeShitley · 29/06/2019 15:42

I am inside with Shitley Cat, both in front of the fan. Apparently it is 93 degrees here.

Might venture out later for some shopping, or might leave it until tomorrow and leave husband to burn to a crisp outside (idiot).

ilovesocks · 29/06/2019 15:53

I don't seem to do well in the heat. I get so hot and sweaty. Had sweat dripping off my face earlier when I was out with the animals. The dogs are flat out on the front room floor and DH and I are getting a bit hot just lying on the sofa.

I am a weirdo though, I love the rain and winter is my favourite season. I'm already thinking about Christmas Smile

IamnotaStepfordHousewife · 29/06/2019 15:56

Ilovesocks I too love autumn, winter and the rain. If you need relaxing background noise look up rain sounds on YouTube.

It's 33 here. Rural midlands. Wind is getting up though.

Forecast is 21 tomorrow. That's 12 degrees less!
sigh. i love the heat.

StrongTea · 29/06/2019 16:14

Can hear thunder in the distance.

SolitudeAtAltitude · 29/06/2019 16:15

33C here, that is proper hot Grin

Don't mind it, as just slow down and relax and cancel sport/shopping/cleaning plans to just lie in the shade, drink tea and soft drinks, and watch the swallows swooping over

In hot weather you just need to change your plans where possible, and wear nice loose cool clothes

Same as in cold and snow you layer up, have hot choc and watch telly wrapped in a cosy blanket

IMO the south of England has one of the best climates in the world

Pomgirl · 29/06/2019 16:17

I have emigrated to Australia... I bet it’s not HOT HOT haha

netflixlove · 29/06/2019 16:19

It's 27 here and I'm miserable. Too hot to do anything and it's a nightmare making sure my dog is cool! I've checked and the temp is going down to 21/22 by 9pm tonight so I might take the pup for a walk in the sea then.

Evenstar · 29/06/2019 16:22

32 here and I have had to bring all my guinea pigs into the utility room on the tiled floor. Even with ice blocks and umbrellas over the hutches I found one looking very ill when I went out to check on them.

OhFanPolyeo · 29/06/2019 16:46

@ReturnofSaturn

No of course not. School finished on the 21st, as it's too hot for students. Offices tend to work shorter weeks in the summer and have aircon.

You seem determined to be all martyr like that you managed when you were pregnant in Oz. People have always lived here like this. We aren't martyrs or drama queens about it, it's just normal life and people have adapted to it.

I don't know what you are willfully misunderstanding that.

bingbongnoise · 29/06/2019 17:06

bingbongnoise

The British are so lame and moany when it comes to the weather.

@Yabbers

They are also lame and moany about people complaining about the weather. I hear far more of that than of people actually complaining about the weather.

That makes zero sense. Confused

Literally NO-ONE has been complaining, about people complaining about the weather - OR made a thread about people complaining about the weather! Nor is anyone in real life complaining about people moaning about the weather!! Confused

If you were trying to be funny or clever, you failed spectacularly I'm afraid. Wink

People have said - on threads where the OP is whining about the weather - that they think people should stop whining as it will be cooler soon, and 'we have hardly had any summer so stop griping.'

But NO-ONE has posted a thread to specifically complain about people moaning about the weather! So your post is just balderdash.

Heat getting to you is it luv? Wink

@RottnestFerry

The only problem with that is that they will probably be the same people that complain about pleasantly warm weather too.

Yep this. ^ Some people do love to bloody moan! FGS, we have hardly had ANY summer, and the first few days of heat, and it's moan moan moan............. #firstworldproblems

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 29/06/2019 17:11

I have a baby who is very clingy due to teething so just wants to be held all the time at the moment. Pacing up and down with a whingeing baby in this heat is not fun.

HaudYerWheeshtYaWeeBellend · 29/06/2019 17:11

Love it, been on in the garden listening to music and in/out of the pool. Now having a BBQ with wine Grin

TeaDrinkingBumbleeBee · 29/06/2019 17:12

Have literally just thrown up due to this weather. Surrounded by people loving it!

Hotterthanahotthing · 29/06/2019 17:18

Yesterday was lovely here with a slight breeze today is humid and only sunny from 11-4,it is cloudy now and cooler.so very pleasant.
We're back to normal temps tommorrow,I would have liked the longer warm temps that some of you are having,on Tuesday it was only 13° and 15° on Wednesday.
