AIBU to ask you to help me name my ice cream business? 🍨

I'm on the cusp of starting to make and sell my own handmade ice cream at farmers markets etc and I'll be selling from a traditional style ice cream bike. I don't do 'standard' flavours, so you'd find flavours like Eton Mess, Peanut Butter & Caramel or Rhubarb Crumble, plus a vegan flavour / sorbet.

Recipes are developed and tested, kitchen is being modified to keep environmental health happy and the bike is awaiting delivery. But - I need a name for my business! Without it I can't set up my website etc...

I need something that suggests

  • premium quality
  • something that's a bit different to the norm
  • possibly a hint at the environmental / zero waste ethos

I'm in Wales but I've been avoiding place related names as I want the option to expand in future, and I can't be certain that the business will always be bike-based so I've been avoiding explicitly bike-related names.

Possibly something like Creamery, The Scoop, The Project, The _ Ice Cream Co but I'm very open to suggestions! Help please hivemind...

Serendipity

I would stay away from twee ice cream/cone etc play on words. They don’t have longevity or the cache for your potential clientele.

Also it’s probably spending a bit of ££ getting some proper bland consultancy.

Atalune · 25/06/2019 22:17

amazing typo!

Brand not bland!

I have not been able to RTFT but how about
Polar Express ,
frozen delight ,
Ice and more ( for when you branch out )
scooply the best
Would you like a flake with that ( though you would need a big shop front to fit that on Grin )

I agree that anything with 'cream' 'creamery' or 'milk bar' just sounds rude.

I love Game of Cones but probably too punny for you.

I actually like 'Cone' the best I think.

Eaudear · 25/06/2019 23:27

Are you really not going to do normal flavours alongside the more unusual ones though?

aufaitaccompli · 25/06/2019 23:34

What about using your grandmother's maiden name?
Eg Mrs Smiths Ice Emporium

or

Scoop of The Day ....that could also be a selling point for offers when you have overstock?

Halcyon Desserts?

Gelato Gusto? (I think gusto means tasty)

Providence is a good word/theme you could possibly incorporate.

Or pick an adjective you like and call the co..The Really Delicious Ice Cream Company.

Excited for you OP!!

ThisIsTheFirstDay · 25/06/2019 23:42

Daisy's? The name I automatically think all cows are called.

Udderly something or other for a pun.

Something to do with a cow bell, Belle's something.

Not very creative, sorry!

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 25/06/2019 23:44

Only problem is the first two syllables don't make me want to think of food!

Eh? Don't you like butter?

Sorry, I probably didn't put that very well and it wholly depends on where you divide the pronunciation of the syllables. I was meaning that, for me, with my very juvenile mind, I would instantly hear it as 'buttock-up' rather than 'butter-cup' Grin

Lucked · 25/06/2019 23:49

The Sweet Valleys Creamery 😀

ErrolTheDragon · 25/06/2019 23:49

I refuse to believe the OP won't be doing a rich chocolate. (Not an ordinary 'chocolate' which is merely brown and a bit chocolaty). Sometimes it's really the only thing that will do.Grin

Autocorrect tried to change 'chocolaty' to chocolate pythonConfused that would be a flavour too far... though come to think it could be a^ great brand name for something.^Grin
