Las Vegas - quality or quantity

Just about to book a very last minute trip to Las Vegas. Would you prefer to spend 4 days at the Bellagio (incredible 5* hotel) or 7 days in a very decent 4-star hotel? The latter is £400 cheaper. We'll book the same excursions regardless.

I'm thinking quality over quantity but DH would prefer a longer break. It's unlikely we'll go to LV a 2nd time.

Very tempted to press on with my preferred option as I have a feeling we won't need to spend an entire week there.

I have stayed at the Bellagio, MGM, flamingo and the mirage.

The upgrade flamingo rooms had a strip view were lovely. They were much better than the basic bellagio rooms.

Watch the YouTube videos. Read the Vegas forums. Play my vegas and get free buffets.

The flamingo is in a great location too. The best out of the four I would say.

We went in May and stayed at the Park MGM - very nice but maybe lacking the wow factor.
Went to the Aria (fabulous) and Caesar’s Palace (great, but not as good as Aria) last year.
Stayed at Mandalay Bay previously - great.
There is so much to do in Vegas that I don’t think 4 nights is long enough.
Obviously, the hotel rates are more expensive but the city really comes to life at the weekend - so do try to be there then.
Make sure you budget carefully for spending money and consider where you eat. Including tax and tips, a glass of Riesling in an Aria wine bar in May cost $26. A meal for 5 in Bavettes Steakhouse (Park MGM) cost $700+. Vegas can be incredibly expensive if you’re hanging out in the 5* hotels.
Also, don’t underestimate the jet lag - although I seem to suffer much worse following the return journey.

4 days in luxury

4 days is enough in LV

And the jet lag is worse coming home

Went ahead with the Bellagio, DH gave in! Thanks for the input.

4 days in vegas is plenty.

We had a suite in the four seasons- it was great not to have to walk through a casino to get to our room each night. After the seventieth time it became wearing.
