There is nothing, nothing I say, that cannot be recreated in veg form Grin

@goldface, yes the OP apparently didn't start the thread to bash anyone and it's all light hearted........and then just posts this......

which makes one wonder what the point of being vegetarian is?

Ive had to cut right back on meat to no more than once per month as my body cant digest it properly. I like the veggie stuff that's made of proper veggies rather than the stuff that's pretending to be meat. Mind you I was veggie for 20 years in the 80's and 90s without all the fake meat so can always find plenty of alternatives - still bloody love a good nut roast

@AryaStarkWolf I have been vegetarian for nearly 40 years, a good percentage of which I have followed a vegan diet. Do you not think that I have queried the decision I made all those years ago, from time to time?

I do wonder what the point is of not eating meat, but continuing to consume eggs and dairy.

I do also get bored of all the virtual signallers who jump on the wagon in January, but are only able to reach for a fake burger rather than the usual meat one instead of being a little more creative and exploring a different way of eating.

I’m not saying I never eat processed food trying to forget the jerky experiment but vegetarian / vegan eating is more about trying to eat real food for me.

Plenty of others have disagreed without taking it all so personally.
