To be totally freaked out by what I just found on my towel?

My heart is pounding honestly. What is this insect? Do I need to boil all sheets and towels? Burn the house down?

It's the size of a large puy lentil. Perfectly round with legs. Filled with brown bits, kind of like a teabag.

Heart still pounding. Please help. I can't actually look at my own photo.

We have a colony of bats in our attic.

Dont like to imagine them infested with ticks.
Can we rid them of the ticks?

A bat tick omg, better check if there is a bat hanging from your curtains,,as once happened to me many years ago, it was on the curtains in my bedroom.

I see one of the proper names for this is Acarina !! not a bad sounding name really,someone will probably now use that name for a new baby girl !!

It's a type of soft tick I think.

The real horror is that I still don't know how it got into the house. The towel was not line dried! (Cliffhanger music).

And the dog isn't allowed upstairs. So one of us must have carried it in. Vomits.
