To be totally freaked out by what I just found on my towel?

My heart is pounding honestly. What is this insect? Do I need to boil all sheets and towels? Burn the house down?

It's the size of a large puy lentil. Perfectly round with legs. Filled with brown bits, kind of like a teabag.

Heart still pounding. Please help. I can't actually look at my own photo.

Another vote for tick. They can look very different, when you find them on your pet they are all swollen up with blood, when they are empty and looking for a new host they are flat and hard.

Doesn't look like a tick to me.

I've removed at least four from the dog this week and none of them looked like that!

It looks like a scale bug to me. Looks the wrong shape for a tick, too flat and round.

I don't think it's a tick. They have a more separate head with a big baggy bum.
