Enough to prompt a neighbour to call police?

Calming her down by shouting back? Yeah, that always helps.

GoFiguire · 23/06/2019 15:23

Anyway, this was Thursday night / Friday morning so your timeline doesn’t make sense.

AlaskanOilBaron · 23/06/2019 15:26

The Sunday Telegraph understands that in the hours before the argument flared Ms Symons had been particularly upset by reports that the black cab rapist John Worboys had pleaded guilty to a further string of assaults.

But since when were innocent people exempt from smears, if there's political capital to be had?

Very true puzzled. And it’s only going to get worse. God knows why anyone whether left or right chooses to go into politics.

Cinammoncake · 23/06/2019 15:32

I doubt he was trying to calm her down by yelling 'get off my fucking laptop' Just sounds like a load of BS by apologists. He had a big shouty row with his girlfriend who's over 20 years younger than him. She told him to get out her house and he didn't.

How is any of this okay for a future PM, who has to build relationships for our country at a crucial time.

But the excuses have already begun and this will be all not his fault by next week (or already in many eyes)

Alsohuman · 23/06/2019 15:33

Back to victim blaming again. Jess Philips has it.

LJdorothy · 23/06/2019 16:15

Yes I always yell ‘get off my fucking laptop’ loud enough for the neighbours to hear when I’m trying to calm someone down. Works every time. What a load of bollocks.

LJdorothy · 23/06/2019 16:28

If she was upset because of the rape case, then even more shame on him for making her day worse by spilling wine on her couch. He’s a racist, misogynist tosspot and totally unfit to be PM.

TruthOnTrial · 23/06/2019 16:34

So, we have a [substantial] reason why she is upset.

Yet Boris yells and shouts enough to be heard word for word at her, aggressive words, and she's at fault.

My heart goes out to her having been through this trauma.

Whats he thinking of pursuing a relationship with a woman 20 years his junior... So he can be all masterful and wordly? Or hide his age behind her, or to hurt his ex wife, or doesnt he like women his own age (or perhaps they don't like him)? Or praps its just true love Hmm

She wanted him out, but he didnt go, even though police were called Hmm. Its alright folks 'its just a domestic' Hmm

Noones hurt, everyone happy, hes still there, thats all good.

Snoozysnoozy · 23/06/2019 16:39

If she was upset because of the rape case, then even more shame on him for making her day worse by spilling wine on her couch.

Do you think he did it on purpose then?

TruthOnTrial · 23/06/2019 17:05

Hes no right to get aggressive to her for spilling wine on her couch?

Right?

Walkaround · 23/06/2019 17:15

Shouting, "Get off my fucking laptop!" would not calm anyone down. What a load of absolute bollocks some people spout. Amazing, also, how she was supposedly the drunk one, but he spilt the wine and swore at her. Something tells me he was pissed and doing fuck all to calm her down. The kindest possible interpretation for him is that they were both pissed and obnoxious.

Dongdingdong · 23/06/2019 17:20

Someone has plastered f* Boris stickers all over his girlfriend’s front door now. Politicians’ private homes should not be targeted in this way IMO - it’s too much.

Helmetbymidnight · 23/06/2019 17:30

Well of course it's not acceptable. I really don't get your points. Members of the public doing stupid things - none of them applauded by anyone on here despite you betting they were and saying 'shame on you', doesn't somehow cancel the obvious fact that Boris is unsuitable for high office.

Brexitteering Tories are desperately defending him all over SM. It's fascinating how attached they are to him. He really can do no wrong, can he.

dtpitman1 · 23/06/2019 17:33

Who you are when no one’s looking (or you think no one is looking/listening) is the test of your character, no?

Walkaround · 23/06/2019 17:34

Of course politicians' homes should not be targeted. Politicians should also be entitled to a private life. Shouting, swearing, crashing and banging about loud enough for someone to feel the need to call the police and to be able to record your screams and words from their own flat is making your private life public all by yourself, however. Nobody should be required to cover anything up for you.

dtpitman1 · 23/06/2019 17:34

Old boy’s network at play?

AlaskanOilBaron · 23/06/2019 17:34

What forces are preventing the neighbours from releasing the recording so we can make our own judgements about this dispute?

AlaskanOilBaron · 23/06/2019 17:35

Is there any evidence that he's sought an injunction?

Jogonandshutup · 23/06/2019 17:40

Who doesn’t have arguments at home with their partners/family members - it is all a little ridiculous.

Dongdingdong · 23/06/2019 17:42

Members of the public doing stupid things - none of them applauded by anyone on here

There was another thread recently where some posters were perfectly happy to see milkshakes chucked over politicians. Or did you miss that thread? Confused

Dongdingdong · 23/06/2019 17:43

Is there any evidence that he's sought an injunction?

Surely if he’d sought an injunction, the Guardian wouldn’t have been able to publish anything about the contents of the tape either?

FannyWork · 23/06/2019 17:45

Calming her down by shouting back? Yeah, that always helps.

The neighbour who is not political (nursery teacher in upstairs flat) says he wasn’t shouting. He was calm and trying to calm Carrie. Attaching a screen grab of her account.

So the police left with no concerns, the other neighbour says it was just Carrie upset. The neighbours who are political activists are the only ones to insinuate DV and they have good reason to lie.

It’s obvious that they have not released the tape (or transcribed it) because it backs up the accounts of Boris, Carrie, the police and the other neighbour, not them.

Helmetbymidnight · 23/06/2019 17:45

I imagine all the lawyers are on it.

I didn't actually realise that it was more than one neighbour who heard them. Several neighbours heard it and said how horrendous it was.
Nice guy.
