Poll: Sleep naked or in night clothes

Just curious so posting for traffic.

I've slept naked since I was about 14. Can't abide having clothes on in bed. If I'm staying at someone else's house, I'll have some nearby for nighttime loo visits.

Was the post on jammies in supermarkets with people referring to sets to sleep in.

No one in my family has ever slept with clothes on other than my mother. DH sleeps naked as does apparently all of his family.

It amuses me on TV when you see people in bed in jammies or similar especially if they have just apparently been having sex.

It depends as I'm menopausal. Sometimes naked and sometimes PJs depending how hot or cold I feel when I go to bed.

It's a total pain in the arse. I can strip off or put PJs on multiple times in the night based on how hot/cold I feel. We have a duvet and a light cotton sheet that I can use/kick off as required but it doesn't really help.

DivisionBelles · 11/06/2019 19:36

Naked. PJs get tangled up when I'm asleep.

BarbedBloom · 11/06/2019 19:40

Naked. I can't sleep in anything at all. Do have a dressing gown on back of bedroom door though

ooooohbetty · 11/06/2019 20:37

Naked. I think it's important to let everything breathe. I'll wear pj's if it's really really cold so prob about twice a year.

ZippyBungleandGeorge · 11/06/2019 20:41

If you sleep naked how often do you wash your sheets?

grumpycatgrumpycat · 11/06/2019 20:47

I LOVE sleeping naked but it’s a bit weird heading into the 6 month old’s bedroom to give her a bottle, with a dimpled bottom swinging in the breeze

WindsweptEgret · 11/06/2019 20:49

I want to know how often people wash their sheets too. If you aren't even wearing pants then aren't you using sheets as pants?

SimonJT · 11/06/2019 20:50

My sheets get washed at least once a week, sometimes a bit more if my son snots on them, or if other stuff has been going on quite a bit.

Mokepon · 11/06/2019 20:53

I knew someone would ask the sheets question!!
I sleep naked. Sheets are changed once a fortnight because I don't have a tumble drier and I work ft.
I'm not minging, neither is my bed but I'm sure I'm probably going to get slaughtered here given that lots of folk seem to need to boil wash anything if you look in it's general direction.

EmeraldShamrock · 11/06/2019 20:54

Always pj's tucked in, even in the summer. When I feel a draft on my back, I have to pee again, I never wear underwear with my pj's.
Even abroad I'll roll myself in a sheet like a log to sleep.
DP sleeps in shorts.

randomsabreuse · 11/06/2019 20:54

Naked unless at risk of co-sleeping then all the clothes so I don't freeze (6mo so still in the duvet ban stage).

Need to have shoulders to small of back covered by sheet or duvet to be comfortable - will probably have legs out...

Time of month - pants and tight cycling shorts, otherwise loose bottoms or nothing.

Main thing is warm shoulders cool legs. Suspect this is odd...

Ragwort · 11/06/2019 20:54

PJs always (used to wear a nightie), don’t think I’ve ever slept naked in my life & certainly don’t want to, my parents always wore ‘nightwear’ & DH wear PJ shorts (although we don’t share a bed Grin).

Mokepon · 11/06/2019 20:54

Sheets as pants??Confused
I don't bunch them up in my groin?Confused

Faster · 11/06/2019 20:55

Naked.
Will put socks on if my feet are cold.
Knickers when I’m on my period.
Shorts and a vest top if I’m staying over at someone’s house.

ADogRocketShip · 11/06/2019 20:56

T-shirt/vest and knickers. Can't sleep in pj bottoms as they get all tangled up around my legs but definitely can't sleep naked - it feels so weird!

Barnabyboy · 11/06/2019 20:56

Naked. Put knickers on after sex though

QuestionableMouse · 11/06/2019 21:01

Naked. I hate sleeping in stuff because it twists round and I end up waking up because it's annoying me.

Weirdpenguin · 11/06/2019 21:12

Long baggy t shirt. Can't get comfortable naked but also find pjs get twisted and uncomfortable.

champagneplanet · 11/06/2019 21:17

Knickers and vest top, unless it's really cold and then i'd wear pjs. Hate the loose or fleece type though they have to be snug fitting.

utterflapdoodle · 11/06/2019 21:19

Nightie. I've never slept naked, would feel too exposed somehow which is bit bizarre as I sleep alone.

I imagine you have to wash your sheets more often if you sleep naked too.

Frankola · 11/06/2019 21:21

I don't sleep naked. What about burglars?lol

Laiste · 11/06/2019 21:21

Sheets as pants? Confused

Naked.
DH as well.

SparklesandFlowers · 11/06/2019 21:28

Naked. Except for very cold weather in winter when I might put a t-shirt on. Occasionally socks as I can't sleep if my feet are cold.
At the moment I sleep in a bra and pants because I'm breastfeeding and have a ridiculous letdown so have to wear breast pads. And then I feel odd just wearing a bra so I have to put pants on too.
DH never sleeps naked but is very fastidious about washing our sheet every week or so otherwise he claims it itches his legs.
I always wear pyjamas if visiting someone and always have some at the bottom of the bed in case of emergencies.

greenlynx · 11/06/2019 21:30

Pjs, or long t-shirt over summer, or nightie with long bottoms and fluffy socks in winter. Always with knickers on and always with cover. I have light summer duvet and really warm winter duvet but I can’t sleep without cover at all.

AshQ · 11/06/2019 21:31

Pants and vest top usually but I’ll wear fleecy pjs if it’s really cold.
