Keith Chegwin!

Pardonwhat · 10/10/2019 13:53

It recently came to light for me that Bob Marley was dead.

He died before I was born.

TwoHoots74 · 10/10/2019 13:56

Keith Chegwin is dead????

Batcrazy101 · 10/10/2019 13:57

Batcrazy101 · 10/10/2019 13:59

I also forgot about Robin Williams till I was watching the Aladdin re-make

ThanksForAllTheFish · 10/10/2019 14:02

I would say Robin Williams and Chester Bennington always get me. It never more than a few seconds before I remember and I always feel really sad when I do. Like hearing the news all over again.

JaneJeffer · 10/10/2019 14:05

Was Paul Walker a cat? You're mixing him up with Paw Walker

RuffleCrow · 10/10/2019 14:06

Oh my goodness this thread. Sad

Can someone please start a "people we're so glad ever lived in the first place" alternative?

DamonSalvatoresDinner · 10/10/2019 14:10

Alan Rickman, David Bowie, Victoria Wood, Caroline Aherne, Rik Mayall and Robin Williams. And every time I remember itheyre gone I choke up again. I don't suppose it'll ever go away because you see them so often alive and vibrant in tv and films and then have to realise they won't make more.

haverhill · 10/10/2019 14:11

2016 was an awful year for famous deaths. People were being all snotty about it on here "Oh, but you didn't even KNOW them!"
I don't care, I was genuinely upset about Victoria Wood.

Ginger1982 · 10/10/2019 14:12

Larry Hagman 😢

OkayGo · 10/10/2019 14:16

Alan Rickman
Emma Chambers
Chester Bennington - I cant listen to Linkin Park like I used to, it's too sad!

Fl0rence1985 · 10/10/2019 14:21

Stephen Gately ☹

earlydoors42 · 10/10/2019 14:23

I just saw a tweet about Anne Kirkbride - Deirdre Barlow - had died a certain number of years ago (5?) and I had forgotten. I was certain this thread would be about her! Lol

I had forgotten Keith Chegwin, I was just thinking about him the other day (how he had been an alcoholic then stopped drinking) and didn't remember.

cornstarch · 10/10/2019 14:27

Andy Williams.

SchrodingersKitty · 10/10/2019 14:30

2016 was an awful year for famous deaths.

It was an awful year full-stop. I firmly believe that it was the moment we went through a wormhole into an alternate and much worse dimension . . . so perhaps they're all alive back on our proper track.

dottiedodah · 10/10/2019 14:33

Looobeloo Same here ,George Micheals death still seems so unreal .This week seeing Andrew Ridgley brought it home to me again .So sad and a similar age to me .Cant believe its nearly 3 years ago!

Gruzinkerbell1 · 10/10/2019 14:33

Robin Williams breaks my heart. He gave so much joy and laughter to so many people.

Patrick Swayze

George Michael

Stephen Hawkings

Zaphodsotherhead · 10/10/2019 14:34

I'm still mildly annoyed with Donna Summer for dying when she did.

It was the only time I'd done anything even vaguely newsworthy, and her death knocked me off the rolling news headlines that day.

Humph.

PoohBearsHole · 10/10/2019 14:36

I miss Terry Wogan :(

MinTheMinx · 10/10/2019 14:42

Not quite dead yet, but when Gliese B 4598321 is subsumed into the black hole at the centre of its star system in the Andromeda Galaxy, I have to say I am going to be fairly gutted.
