@Beldon DH was watching Piers Morgan and Micheal Barrymore was on there and we could have sworn he was dead !! We googled his wiki page and everything !!

I made the mistake of googling the death of Stephen Gately when a Hermes delivery driver mentioned it on my doorstep. Google took me to the daily mail comments section for the first time in my life. at the vileness, intolerance and hatred towards a young man cut down in his prime.

As soon as I saw this thread I knew that people would be thought to have died when they were still alive!

DD loves watching The Parent Trap and it always saddens me that she died so prematurely. DD asks me every time if she's the lady who died as she's so similar looking to her sister Joely. Every time I watch Love Actually I think how poignant it is that Liam Neeson's characters wife died and he had to carry her coffin - obv I know Natasha hadn't died at that point but if Liam watches it it must strike a chord.

Eva Cassidy - DD is into her songs as sings a few of them and I get a pang when I remember she died so young.

I was watching the original Mary Poppins with the kids last night and one of them said ‘those kids must be really old now’ (as in Jane and Michael). So I said yes, lets see if I can find adult photos of them on google. Found one of grown up Jane... searched for ‘Michael’ and apparently he died in the 70’s when he was 21!

I know that’s not the same but I just thought that was so sad that we always watch that movie and had no idea that he died so young
