light-hearted (well, semi!!😃)
I thought I would start a thread for those who want to vent off if they are having a shitty day so far. My day has NOT started well. It is pissing down this morning, I am a dog walker and was waking a dog along a path and a complete tosser van driver, drove passed me, driving at speed, through a puddle. There was no way he couldn’t have not seen the puddle, it was huge, and Sod’s law I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, there where no other cars on the road, he didn’t have to go through it, I am sure he did it for pleasure, the utter fuckwit!! The result was exactly like this photo, think that Bridget Jones scene!

I bought sandals yesterday, and after today I'm pretty sure I have jinxed us all with rain for the next 3 months.

Apathy - drifting off to the never ending horizon - Apathy. It’s all consuming yet empty. I’ve quit my job, moved house but it’s worse now that all that organising and turmoil is over. Every day I have a list of reasonable, small ‘goals’ to achieve but all I do is sit about in my jammies (reading Mumsnet). Seriously, 14 hours the other day!! Been online multiple times looking to buy a washing machine but can’t make a decision. I will run out of clean jammies soon... it’s like Groundhog Day.

Madein1995 · 10/06/2019 23:10

Many things.

The awful weather. Started off lovely so only wore a cardi but luckily took a brolly. Brolly is now dripping wet and saturated.

Wind meaning my hand aches from holding brolly. It's a proper one that withstands the rain but is bloody heavy when you're holding with one arm and it's wet through.

Laptop arrived in work which means ploughing through the 75,000 emails on there.

Bus driver drove through puddle at speed and soaked my legs.

Leaky boots meaning feet were wet all day.

M and s have put spinach on their chicken and cous cous salad, it's not easy to remove. They've also reduced the amount of yogurt dip they put in.

Used 80% of my data which means no more watching Emmerdale on bus on way to work.

Been to an na meeting (good) but due to buses etc didn't have chance to grab more than a latte for tea. Am hungry but nowhere open to grab food on way home except places a long walk away (not in this weather in this dark!)

Silly annoyances j know. First world problems really

TopEndChops · 10/06/2019 23:11

Being called a thieving cunt on another thread (I'm a postie) Angry

Though my real life customers have been fab and it didn't rain until after I'd finished Smile

HazelBite · 10/06/2019 23:13

Went with my neice to visit my Dsis (her DM) in her nursing home she didn't know who I was or her daughter Sad
Last week she remembered my name.

FancyAPint · 10/06/2019 23:14

cheer up guys Monday is almost over and won't happen for ages again!

Shinyletsbebadguys · 10/06/2019 23:17

Human beings but that's most days to be fair

MissMoan · 10/06/2019 23:17

Twice this week I have used public toilets, and each time while I was drying my hands, I watched as two seperate 'ladies' left their respective cubicle and went straight out of the door without washing their hands

MissMoan · 10/06/2019 23:20

Oh, and I got my whole shopping checked at the Tesco Scan as you shop. There were no issues yet I still felt as though I had done something wrong, and customers seemed to be eyeing me suspiciously. Never again.

DivaInDisguise · 10/06/2019 23:25

@SmokeAndBone snap, I'm super micro-managed and he owns the business so there's no escape! My only hope is it will ease in time as I've only been in the role a few months.

Rainbowknickers · 10/06/2019 23:26

Shitty day at work
My sd has gone round the house snapping every single light on and has gone back to bed-knowing I’ll get up and turn em off again cos I can’t sleep
She’s full of cold and is dying I’ve spent a kings ransom on meds to help and she won’t take em cos they taste vile
She refuses to look for a job and her dad is pandering to her saying that 16 is too young for a job-even when I pointed out I was a child carer since I was a tot and have worked since I was 11
My son wants me to get out of bed to look for a piece from his air soft gun-and I don’t know what it looks like
And I need a wee

WhiteRedRose · 10/06/2019 23:32

My crappy, miserable older sister. And I hope she reads this tbh and figures out this is me.

I submitted my student finance application today for my degree in October. I never went to Uni. I'm mid 30's. I was (am?) silly excited. I sent a message to our family group about it and basically just got a shitty, gobby reply back.

I don't have much in my life right now beyond part-time work, toddler/sahm life, and this has been a huge deal for me.

She totally pissed on my chips. Because she's a miserable cowbag, and a spiteful jealous one at that.

Mrsfrumble · 11/06/2019 00:10

Stupid bloody online job application form. One of the crap ones where the formatting buggers up as soon as you type anything. Wanting to know every single qualification I have, but not leaving enough space to list them so I’ll have to attach supplementary pages. What’s wrong with a CV and covering letter anyway?

The deadline for application is first thing in the morning and I’ll be up all night at this rate trying to get it done. And I’m extremely unlikely to get the job anyway, so I just want to give up and go to bed, but DH knows I’m applying and will be disappointed in me if I do.

GraceSlicksRabbit · 11/06/2019 00:21

My work moved me to a new desk over the weekend. Arrived to find all my personal stuff had been decanted willy nilly into a new chest of drawers, new chair falling apart (foam arms literally crumbling to the touch) and IT had not given me a mouse so impossible to log in. Then IT guy got arsey because I asked for a mat to go under the mouse they brought up.

Binglebong · 11/06/2019 00:35

Fucking bitch of a manager is leaving in two weeks and determined to make my life as misersble as possible before then. Today's fun involved, among other things, comments to her colleague, clearly designed to be heard, about how "people" will have to stop coasting and do x. That was the x you get in a strop everytime it's done right? Theres also been telling me to do y then telling me off for doing that not z and a whole load of other things.

My confidence is shot. And as soon as I can I'm getting out of that company -upper management has enough people telling them what was going on and they could see the power imbalance that stopped my complaining. If they had wanted to anyway.

Anarchyshake · 11/06/2019 00:43

Having issues with the dog. Spent half term with MIL, he got bitten by a ton of fleas (he's protected but that just means they bite him and die), didn't sleep most of last week because his itching was constant so he got a dog antihistamine from the vets. But since a few days ago he is acting really weird, doesn't settle, wants more food than usual, then doesn't eat something you put down for him, he's usually quiet but he's barking more (he will make one bark to communicate but usually it's because you've ignored him hinting he needs food or the toilet). He's constantly out of bed in the night, just staring at us from the floor where he stands. It's causing me a lot of stress because I can't seem to read what he wants. However, I'm pretty sure the rain has something to do with it. He hates water and we've had torrential rain for a few days and nights.

TheChildChomper · 11/06/2019 01:05

My DS's bad behaviour right from the second he woke up this morning

The awful shitty shit weather

Countless arseholes on the road out in force, especially those who refuse to use their indicators

My bad back playing up something awful

A client at work being a twat

My DS's bad behaviour the second I collect him from school

Locked myself out of the house. Had to travel an hour to pick up a spare key from a relative

My DS's bad behaviour while at relatives collecting said key.

DS's bad behaviour as soon as we arrive back home

Banging headache, back killing so went for a lie down when DH arrived home from work at 6pm. Fell into a deep sleep and only just woke up. I'll be up all night now and will only start feeling tired enough to sleep again when I have to get up for work. So that's tomorrow already written off as a shit day as well now

I'm a moody bitch

TheChildChomper · 11/06/2019 01:40

Ooh, also. Bought a dress 2nd hand off eBay as we're not exactly flush at the mo but i need to replace some of my current tat. Seller took ages to post, but finally it arrived today. Was looking forward to my 'new' dress but seller had wrapped it so tightly with cellotape to make it as small as possibly to obviously make a profit on the p&p and my only way to get it open was with scissors... cut straight into the dress

Dress is lovely, but fucking ruined Sad

teeleigh · 11/06/2019 01:43

I’m due my first baby next month and my partners just informed me that when she’s less than 4 months old, he’ll be going on a lads holiday to Amsterdam for 5 days...

RainyDaysandTuesdays · 11/06/2019 05:35

Not actually today but Saturday although it's still making me Angry today.
People saying they are coming to your wedding reception and then just not turning up, and a meal has been organised for them, One excuse was the child of one couple whose parents pander to her every fucking need (she's 5 or 6) decided she didn't want to go to the babysitter her grandma so they all stayed at home so as not to upset her.
The other 2 havnt even bothered with an excuse.
Fucking Rude!

WhoKnewBeefStew · 11/06/2019 05:56

I’ve been awake since 2am which means I’ll be knackered today

FancyAPint · 11/06/2019 06:16

@teeleigh Fuck that!!!!!

cricketmum84 · 11/06/2019 06:17

@RainyDaysandTuesdays I hear ya!! We had quite a small day do and were limited on numbers. DHs auntie didn't turn up because she couldn't get the day off work. Which is fine but would have been good to know at least before the end of the wedding breakfast when we spotted the empty seat 🤬

Scottishgirl85 · 11/06/2019 06:34

My lovely husband, at the grand old age of 34, has testicular cancer for the second time and has to have his remaining testicle removed. He will be on testosterone therapy for the rest of his life. This has royally pissed me off today. Life can be so unfair.

TitianaTitsling · 11/06/2019 06:36

@ragged do you have a phone charger that has usb at one end? That may work as long as not iPhone, or try pound land!
