Leaving baby in hotel room

AvadaKedavra92 · 07/06/2019 16:39

So I'm on the ground floor of a hotel have a baby monitor, WIBU to take the video monitor to the bar/restaurant and get something to eat while she sleeps?

I'm not sure whether to do it or not, don't want to wake her up this evening for me to go eat. They don't offer room service.

No no no no no

And no

CottonSock · 07/06/2019 22:28

Well I think it's fine...

AvadaKedavra92 · 07/06/2019 22:29

@UnicornDust9 Oh do fuck off with your perfect parenting.

I can't physically eat early if I'm not hungry, hypoglycemia doesn't allow me to skip meals.

Yes it clearly was a stupid idea, but like I say I am still learning, I thought she might be fine for half hour with a monitor across a courtyard. I came for advice and thought better of it.

Vulpine · 07/06/2019 22:30

I used to do it no worries.

AvadaKedavra92 · 07/06/2019 22:30

@Mammylamb have you read the thread Hmm

It's interesting to see the amount of stick I got here and there is people saying they actually used to do it.. you aren't criticising these people Hmm

Maybe I'm just an easy target..

dementedpixie · 07/06/2019 22:33

@AvadaKedavra92 did they let you take it back to your room ok? Hope you enjoyed it

AvadaKedavra92 · 07/06/2019 22:34

@dementedpixie they did, it was bloody delicious. I wouldn't have enjoyed it much at all if I left her though Smile

Who knew that even thinking about doing something could be irresponsible?

Vulpine · 07/06/2019 22:36

I used to do it and I didn't ask mumsnet. That was your mistake !

Barbie222 · 07/06/2019 22:36

If you have issues with hypoglycaemia I'd recommend you plan ahead a bit more as there are going to be lots of times when your baby won't neatly fit with your eating schedule and you will need to carry food around. I have a friend in this situation and she has to be incredibly well organised and never would leave herself in a hotel room without food Hmm

UnicornDust9 · 07/06/2019 22:36

You are the one that posted the question so you will be the one to get the stickHmm

And I’m not a perfect parent but I’m not stupid enough to even think about leaving a baby in a hotel room just for some dinner.

Amanduh · 07/06/2019 22:37

Who knew there were so many twats about? Glad you ate at least op!

TheRealShatParp · 07/06/2019 22:38

Nope

nervousFTM · 07/06/2019 22:39

@AvadaKedavra92 I know but you just don't know what kind of weirdos are around. I'm glad you've not left baby anyway :) although crap about the dining options (or lack of)!

AvadaKedavra92 · 07/06/2019 22:40

@Vulpine next time I won't bother Grin

OP posts:
AvadaKedavra92 · 07/06/2019 22:41

@nervousFTM my options were limited, tje hotels that offer room service in my area were a bit out of my price range.

AvadaKedavra92 · 07/06/2019 22:42

@UnicornDust9 I'm not stupid, oh and as I've said - do fuck off!

In mumsnet world there are paedophiles, fire and danger around every corner.

AvadaKedavra92 · 07/06/2019 22:45

@Barbie222 it's a new problem, I've only recently been diagnosed and I was just a bit panicky when my power went out. I do need to get used to it I know. I also don't expect my eating schedule to fit around my baby Hmm. All I said was is I have to eat but can't skip meals. Never said anything about timing.

@Vulpine That's mumsnet for you!

Thank goodness you're here to set her on the path of righteousness unicorn

AvadaKedavra92 · 07/06/2019 22:49

@UnicornDust9 it wasn't posting on here that stopped me. It was niggling doubt I already had, mumsnet just confirmed it for me. I wanted reassurance I wasn't the knly person who bas considered it.

If I hadn't have posted I would have felt far to uneasy to leave her. I just didn't want to wake her and in my overtired state couldn't think of any alternatives, so again posted here!
