Is Donald Trump ill? Otherwise what would explain such imbecility?

Has he missed some 💊 on his international flight? Who visits someone and promptly pisses on the doorstep? His comments about Sadiq Khan are beyond disgraceful. Disgusting creature.

Why shouldn't the NHS be part of a deal?

Are they talking about supplying drugs or something else? Do we only buy from the EU at present? Are we not allowed to buy from elsewhere?

I just don't understand what Hancock means. Or is it just some grand-standing?

BertrandRussell · 05/06/2019 09:24

“I just don't understand what Hancock means. Or is it just some grand-standing?”

Give it a couple of years.

longwayoff · 05/06/2019 09:35

O dear gth1234, its a real shame that your inability to comprehend the most basic facts is so limiting for you. It may be treatable. Why dont you pop in and make an appointment with your gp to find out. Its free you know but dont let that upset you.

Corbyn doesn't insult Trump. That would only be the case if what he was saying about him is untrue. Demonstrably, it isn't.

Gth1234 · 05/06/2019 14:26

Actually, I tried to get a doctor's appointment today. I had to book one for a month's time. July. The NHS is wonderful.

So, it would hardly be any worse for changing will it. If they got some US hospital desk clerks and border immigration officers, we would be able to stop freeloaders coming into the country without adequate insurance, using our NHS resources FOC.

The current staff don't seem to give a toss about it for some reason.

Anyway it's nearly pimms o'clock.
I will turn on the telly, and watch some tennis.

NeverEverAnythingEver · 05/06/2019 14:36

Good lord. You think it's fine to privatise the NHS just because you can't get a GP appointment!

Have you considered how much it costs to have cancer treatment? Have long term illnesses? Or even have a baby?

Zipee · 05/06/2019 14:38

" we would be able to stop freeloaders coming into the country without adequate insurance"

Health tourism costs less than 0.3% of the NHS budget

I also love how the loonny right have taken the line that the pro Palestine supporters yesterday were also pro Hammas.

Conflating the two is not helpful, but it is willfully disingenuous.

Gth1234 · 05/06/2019 14:51
  1. who said anything about privatising the NHS?
  1. left wing papers would certainly under estimate. DM referenced a government report valuing at 2billion. Still I suppose the DM would, wouldn't they? If we can't be arsed to check, it could be anything.

Alsohuman · 05/06/2019 14:53

Here we go. Because someone could be arsed to check.

Zipee · 05/06/2019 15:07

The full Fact report accurate, the Daily Mail one isn't.

Isatis · 05/06/2019 16:04

Gth1234, you do know that this is a government with a long track record of fudging figures to suit its own agenda, don't you? The DoH has blatantly cherry picked its data, which is incomplete anyway, and then made a load of assumptions that are based on what the government would like the figures to show.

NeverEverAnythingEver · 05/06/2019 16:14

The big problem with the NHS is chronic underfunding, not foreigners.

Trump UK visit: Sajid Javid is only senior cabinet member not invited to lavish state banquet for president

That's odd - I wonder what Javid & Khan have got in common Hmm
Oh, it's being the son of a bus driver, of course

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/trump-uk-visit-sajid-javid-state-banquet-muslim-pakistani-sadiq-khan-gove-queen-a8942921.html

Mr Javid previously condemned the president for sharing Islamophobic tweets from the far-right extremist group Britain First in 2017.

His allies were unconcerned by the snub, joking that he may have been left off the list because he had been confused with Sadiq Khan, the Labour mayor of London, who is also of Pakistani heritage.

"Maybe Downing Street was worried the president might confuse him with the other son of a bus driver," a friend told the Daily Mail.

Isatis · 05/06/2019 16:35

FFS, how utterly crass. How on earth could they possibly justify inviting the Environment Secretary but not the Home Secretary?

NeverEverAnythingEver · 05/06/2019 17:35

His allies?? Allies?

I must have misunderstood the word all my life.

MissKittyBeaudelais · 05/06/2019 18:15

They should have been there. End of. Disgraceful.

Gth1234 · 05/06/2019 18:16

What's the problem with Khan and Javid?

If you go around insulting the POTUS, you aren't going to be on first name terms. They have both criticised the president's policies, and they are now out of the Circle of Trust.

Corbyn criticised him, refused to dine with him, and then expects to be welcome to a meeting. He is outside the Circle of Trust. Cable and the rest of labour are probably no different. Where there any opposition MPs at the dinners? I am pretty sure if the UK is foolish enough to vote in a labour Government then the UK will be outside the Circle of Trust.

He was pleasant enough to Mrs May, but she is leaving, and make no mistake, Huawei has put her outside the Circle of Trust.

Some communist countries get rid of their enemies. The POTUS just puts them outside of the Circle of Trust.

You guys need to get real. Next day at work, publicly criticise your bosses, and see how long you still have a job. That's how it goes.

De Niro's Circle of Trust is a hell of a metaphor. And he isn't in it either, I shouldn't think. :)

Lweji · 05/06/2019 18:26

they are now out of the Circle of Trust.

Were they ever?

I bet Trump is not in the Queen's circle of trust.
Or May or Corbyn for that matter. I'm going with the corgis and few others.

PerkingFaintly · 05/06/2019 19:23

What a hilarious load of bollocks.Grin

This is Donald Trump.Grin Nobody trusts him, and he doesn't trust anyone.

His own lawyer (Michael Cohen) secretly taped him because he didn't trust him. His staff refused to obey him ( Corey Lewandowski, Rick Dearborn, Don McGahn) when he ordered them to obstruct justice.

And when anyone is foolish enough to trust him and put themselves on the line for him (Jeff Sessions), he uses them up and sacks them.

PerkingFaintly · 05/06/2019 19:29

And he kept Rex Tillerson on for 5 months after Tillerson (Trump's own appointee) reportedly called him a "fucking moron".

jasjas1973 · 05/06/2019 19:48

Gth123 - Google what Boris J said about Trump....i'll save you the time.
The Tory leadership frontrunner said Trump was "clearly out of his mind", "stupefyingly ignorant", "unfit to be President" and "playing the game of terrorists".

Boris even added: "I would invite him to come and see the while of London and take him round the city.

"Except I wouldn't want to expose Londoners to any unnecessary risk of meeting Donald Trump."

Sadiq and Javid weren't invited because Trump is a racist, its immaterial what either have said.

BertrandRussell · 05/06/2019 19:55

“If you go around insulting the POTUS, you aren't going to be on first name terms. ”

Have you seen what Boris Johnson’s said about him?

BertrandRussell · 05/06/2019 19:57

Oops, cross post.

PerkingFaintly · 05/06/2019 20:00

Oh and then there was the time Trump blurted out secret intelligence on ISIS, that Israel had entrusted the US with.

Without the Israelis' knowledge, Trump spilled the information to the Russians when he invited them into the Oval Office.

www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/donald-trump-russia-israel-intelligence-share-isis-mossad-spies-sergei-lavrov-kislyak-us-a8071086.html
The US President’s decision to spill the information during a meeting with foreign minister Sergei Lavrov was described as having brought Israeli spies’ “worst fears” to life.

Israel and the US have a close intelligence-sharing relationship but spies from the Middle Eastern nation had previously been warned not to share sensitive details with the Trump White House, according to reports in Israeli media.
