I just saw an amazingly flattering jumpsuit for £55. Looked closer and it was in the sale. Looked closer again and there was one left. Looked even closer and the price tag said £9.99!

And it's my size! Tried it on and it looks great. I'm so chuffed.

I also got a large leather Jigsaw handbag, new with tags, for £60 recently. It was originally £350.

Went to buy some cheap suitcases when moving house. Found a set of 3 down from £40 to £10. When we took them to the till, they came up as 10p. The cashier just shrugged and scanned our other items. I'd have happily paid the tenner but as we weren't asked was very happy with the price.

Cherrysoup · 02/06/2019 15:24

I’ve just been to buy a new suitcase, minimum £50 in the Range and TK Maxx. Think I’ll stick with my ancient material one.

jay55 · 02/06/2019 15:25

Not quite your size bargain but I just got a £375 coach backpack for £150 and am feeling super pleased with myself because it is stunning.

My sister and I picked up leather dkny handbags at Bicester for £20 each once, which was thrilling as we were both pretty skint at the time (and shouldn't have been torturing ourselves at the outlets) then there was an extra 20% off at the till and we wished there had been another we could have put on eBay.

Serenity45 · 02/06/2019 15:25

I bloody love a bargain! Our beautiful solid oak dining table and chairs should have been around £1300...We'd decided to wait as had an old table. Shopping in M&S the following week and immaculate display set reduced to £199. This was 5 years ago and we still love it (and my brother with his huge van as they don't deliver ex display stock) Smile

MrsZola · 02/06/2019 15:25

If you're talking charity shop - brand new wedding suit, trousers, frock coat, shirt, Jasper Conran waistcoat - £13.50.

QueenofallIsee · 02/06/2019 15:26

Valentino swan print dress - £20 in a dress agency shop. Same shop, Moschino Cheap and Chic black scoop neck dress £15

I wear them both often and their bargain nature pleases me

TheAverageJuror · 02/06/2019 15:30

Used to have in Dorothy Perkins a long time ago. Nearly every time I bought something from a sales rack for a fiver each, at least 1 item rung as 50p.
I had loads of tops😂

Also bought a crystal vase on ebay for 99p. I recognised the box and label and knew it was worth AT LEAST £50. Still have it and still love it.

GroggyLegs · 02/06/2019 15:31

Beautiful private villa with pool in a lovely part of Turkey, £600 for 14 nights because it was last minute.

I read the small print about 50 times before booking.

Beautiful inlaid wood dining table, seats six, extra leaf to seat eight. Plus six elegant wooden chairs and two matching carvers, all with canvas work of flowers on the seat and the background going perfectly with the blue of my kitchen/diner. Thick glass protectors for both the table and the insert leaf.

All for £50 plus fee and delivery from local auction house.

I love these bargains, I've never had anything that good myself though I'm a canny shopper.

Hoppinggreen · 02/06/2019 16:15

I’ve just bought a beautiful Ralph Lauren evening dress for a ball.
Cost £80 but I got an extra 10% off and the label says £295
And yes, it’s genuine as it’s from a major retailer
Fits like a glove too

notso · 02/06/2019 16:20

£2.50 Timberland boots for me from TK Maxx kids section. I wear them weekly as walking boots, they're on their 10th year and still going strong.

£12 gas barbecue from Morrison's we've virtually used it to death but definitely had our money's worth.

A few years ago we booked a last minute room in a hotel in Liverpool. The room was about £70 for a standard double, it was a decent hotel and we were happy with our bargain.
When we arrived they had double booked us and the other couple had just checked in. We got a gigantic suite with free mini bar and breakfast for no extra charge. It was fantastic.

Livedandlearned · 02/06/2019 16:23

A Tortoise phone charger for the car, the plug in bit and wire. Was £21.50, got to till and it was £2.50 or £2.10.

00100001 · 02/06/2019 16:35

Mint velvet dress for £2.50 from a charity shop.

A decent rucksack for 50p from the carboot purchased 20 years ago, still going strong.

An islabike rothan for £25 from Fb

Handheld Dyson for £35 from Facebook

00100001 · 02/06/2019 16:36

Oh and a giant box of chocolates from Tesco, came through at 1p!

labazsisgoingmad · 02/06/2019 16:39

if anyone is wandering by the charity shop i run i have a Yves St Laurent mens suit for £25!

ZorbeeAndTheLemur · 02/06/2019 16:50

A black heavy jersey COS dress from a charity shop for £1! It's gorgeous and loads of people comment on it when I wear it. I seem to pick up a lot of COS items quite cheaply in charity shops; I'm assuming some of the older volunteers don't recognise the brand when pricing it.

lazymare · 02/06/2019 16:53

Mis-priced white wooden daybed and mattress from Littlewoods. £22.50. Guess someone missed off a zero. Could not believe it when it was delivered. Bed bit still in use 10 years later.

mrsmoppp · 02/06/2019 16:58

15 years ago when I had my daughter I was changing over from breast to formula. Was in asda and they had reduced the hipp organic formula to 5p a packet. I cleared the shelves and didn't have to buy any for months. It still makes me smile

VelvetSpoon · 02/06/2019 17:03

I've had a few bootsale great buys... not always things that were massively expensive originally but definitely bargainous in a cost per use basis...my current work bag was 50p..its a really nice Next one that I'd guess was about £30 originally. I've used it daily for about 6 months but I've had it about 2 years. I've also got a couple of tops which I've had and worn regularly for 5-6 years which were 10p each.

Years ago we wanted to buy a pool table for our DSs. Budget was about £100. 2 days before Xmas after we'd not been able to find one that wasn't really flimsy, XP went into a local branch of what's now Sports Direct (but I think then was Lilleywhites) and got one that was £300 reduced to £50. It was a really good one with a slate bed and the auto ball return. Still got it 12 years on 😊

These in my size for £2 on a car boot sale - looked like they’d only been worn once
Unfortunately they crippled me so I sold them on eBay
