I just saw an amazingly flattering jumpsuit for £55. Looked closer and it was in the sale. Looked closer again and there was one left. Looked even closer and the price tag said £9.99!

And it's my size! Tried it on and it looks great. I'm so chuffed.

I also got a large leather Jigsaw handbag, new with tags, for £60 recently. It was originally £350.

I have a recent awful experience if nobody minds? I was looking on Ebay for a brown shoulder bag that was suitable for work. I won a brown Mango bag for £6.20 all in, I was pleased and assumed it would last a while. I wore it out for about two hours only to find the brown 'paint' peeling off all over my clothes. The seller said I must have let my dog chew it and won't accept a return. Confused

Once we got an 11 night stay in Playa del Carmen (Mexico) for £98 (so less than £9 a night (should have been £120 a night based on Expedia prices) this was for 2a1ch, and included breakfast! . Once I got a Harris Tweed laptop case in Next for £2.

Recently got a £210 Fossil Finley bag in the outlet for £36.

Sleepylou · 02/06/2019 17:44

My most recent bargain was a stunning singer sewing machine from a car boot sale.
Full well expecting the seller to say it was £50+, took a chance as it's always worth an ask.
£3! Myself and hubby still can't believe it! It works too. So in love!

Went out looking for a full length mirror yesterday. Found a scuffed oak mirror at the back of the shelf in my local Dunelm no price on it.

Turns out it was reduced to £8. Quick treatment of mayo and walnuts and the scuffs are all gone and looking brand new!

Duchessgummybuns · 02/06/2019 17:45

I just bought a pair of trainers from the youth section for almost half the price of women’s trainers the exact same colour and style! Feeling pretty chuffed with them, obv only works if you’re a size 5 and lower

I’m a charity shop fanatic! I recently got a gorgeous Hush dress (my favourite brand) for £5. Brand new with tags worth £77.

@brylcream she has to accept it! I sell on eBay and you need to open a return. State “defective” as a reason. You will get a pre paid label. Send it back. If she doesn’t refund then take it further.

Every seller has to accept returns.

We live near a huge supermarket called the Company Shop. All major brands and supermarkets offload their near 'sell by date food' there. Loads of M&S foods, Waitrose, all major supermarkets, organic foods, etc. Also lines which have not proved popular, so a bit of a magical mystery tour.

12 bottles of elderflower and grape Drench (£2), 2 organic chicken breasts (£2.50), large bottles of innocent smoothies (50p) organic veg (50p), 4 packets of bite size brownies (4 for £1). Plus weird stuff like :good hemp, barista seed milk (£1).

I come out with 3 big bags of shopping for about £15!

DreamsOfDownUnder · 02/06/2019 18:39

If you like novelty or American candy, then check out www.cutpricebarrys.co.uk which is a wholesaler/ cash and carry site with some great food bargains on there. I use it for extras for the Christmas hampers that I do for family.

Frouby · 02/06/2019 19:39

I got a cotbed from Mothercare for £10. Was a mothercare outlet, had gone in to use the loo. Sales assistant stopped me as walking out, said there was a flash sale on cotbeds and I should take a look. Went over because I felt guilty about just using the loos.

Rrp was something like £200, was solid, chunky pine with a Winnie the Pooh motif. Paid my £10, took ds and dropped him at my sisters so I could collapse the back seat in my car and went back and collected it.

He had it as 2 years as both a cot then a toddler bed, my great niece then had it as a cot and then a toddler bed and my second great niece is currently in it as a cot 5 years later.

It's the bargain that just keeps giving.

russianoak · 02/06/2019 19:50

MyFavouritePlace · 02/06/2019 19:56

Many years in Macys, I went to buy a dress that wouldn't scan as it had been wiped from their system. So they sold it to me for 1c on the proviso I couldn't bring it back for a refund!!

tor8181 · 02/06/2019 19:59

ive had hundreds over the years

i didnt discover ebay till 2003 when i was pregnant and bedbound

it was just a bidding site then and i used to win things for 1p,postage was never that much either

ive had maternity clothes, bras newborn items, washable nappies, personalized bedding etc

the trick was do it at nighttime in the early hours as no one was there to out bid you as always did ending soon,99% of the time i was the only bidder and unless thy did a reserve price they had to sell it to you

iv had pounds worth of baby clothes bundles for pence and washable nappies for 1p thats worth £50 plus each

ebays changed now of course
