I just saw an amazingly flattering jumpsuit for £55. Looked closer and it was in the sale. Looked closer again and there was one left. Looked even closer and the price tag said £9.99!

And it's my size! Tried it on and it looks great. I'm so chuffed.

I also got a large leather Jigsaw handbag, new with tags, for £60 recently. It was originally £350.

Ahh, loving all of these bargains!

I've never found anything good in charity shops or boot sales Sad It literally is all a load of rubbish, with things like bobbled Primark tops selling for £5! Hmm

I’d been on the lookout for a particular piece of Danish mid-century furniture. I’ve seen it on vinterior and similar for around £900-£1k. On eBay they come up occasionally and go from about £400 upwards. I’d even contemplated driving 5 hours to Newcastle when I saw on there that was missing a bit so only around £250. One Sunday morning, on the local FB selling page there it was. 5 miles down the road. £15. I didn’t haggle

AdaShelby · 02/06/2019 20:31

@BrylcreamBeret just open a case and they'll have to accept it as a return.

PollyannaWhittier · 02/06/2019 20:35

A grey silk J Crew dress, new with tags (although the price had been ripped off :0s) £3 from a charity shop when I was at university, looked it up online when I got home and discovered original price was £200+. Saw me through a few hall formals !

Treezylover · 02/06/2019 20:48

2 pairs of unworn kurt Geiger stilettos for £3.50 at a car boot sale. The fella’s missus had wandered off, bet he wouldn’t have sold them for that if he knew how much she’d spent on them.

An amazon pricing error years ago, got a Le Creuset almond casserole for about £20. I wish I'd ordered as many as they'd have allowed but they might have cancelled the order then I guess. We lived overseas so I had it delivered to my parents and picked it up a couple of years later!

QueenofallIsee · 02/06/2019 21:27

@russianoak, I live in a Shropshire market town where apparently there is a size 12 woman who regularly sells on her clothes! We also have an amazing vintage clothes shop which is not bargainous but sells original, mint vintage clothes. Very lucky!

BlamesFartsOnTheNeighbour · 02/06/2019 21:36

Dries van Noten heels, Miu Miu jeans and a Christian Lacroix top from a church jumble sale, a pound a piece.

I saw a handbag in a charity shop with a Harrods badge on it, thought it was a fake but thought my friend would like it. (She loves that shop but lives overseas) My daughter saw it, (she's a bit of a bag expert) went into spasms of joy and said it was a genuine last seasons bag! We found a label inside, genuine leather, made in Italy, the real deal. My other daughter loves it and also lusts after it.
I'm keeping it-£5 it cost me, I'll send my friend a picture of it!

DerelictWreck · 02/06/2019 21:44

I'm so jealous of these bargains - the charity shops I go in just have old shapeless clothing!

JohnsPrincess · 02/06/2019 21:45

I love a bargain and yellow sticker meat is my favourite.

I think my best one is that I no longer pay for gas and electricity! I’ve moved to a company who have a referral scheme and everyone seems to love them. Lots of people in my city have switched to them using my referral so I’ve got YEARS of free energy

NoIsACompleteAnswerSometimes · 02/06/2019 21:46

Oh and once I went to buy some potatoes, came home with an evening dress and matching bag-£18! When I'd been prom dress shopping with my eldest, the exact same dress was in the shop for nearly £200.

NoIsACompleteAnswerSometimes · 02/06/2019 21:49

And a gorgeous purple evening dress (Cadbury's foil colour purple) £7 charity shop. Cocktail dress 99p. Timberland boots for my grandson, £1.99 I think. (I go in charity shops a lot!)

Youngandfree · 02/06/2019 21:53

Not on purpose but A few times I have had orders 100% refunded. Once I ordered a teepee for my dd’s Birthday and it took 6 weeks and lots of phone calls before it turned up. I rang to let them know it had arrived finally and they refunded the whole 85quid!! Delighted
Then I made an order from jojomMamanbebe that took 3 weeks to arrive I rang to complain and they refunded the whole order too! 🙌

babbi · 02/06/2019 22:05

Far too many bargains to mention as I am an avid sales hunter .. DKNY Jeans 👖 $2 etc

Fookmefookyou - well done in the Uggs ..
that reminds me of a previous website error that Mumsnet users were all over 😀

Does anyone remember the M&S armchair that was in the website for £0.50?
Hundreds of us full of mischief proceeded to order them ...
Orders processed through ok but then ...
We then started getting we are “ terribly sorry it’s an error and you are not getting your chair - here’s your refund emails ( by this stage us nutters had probably ordered thousands 😂) “ from M&S which we dubbed as “ recliner decliners “

After the hilarity died down we were confessing to being secretly relieved as they were the ugliest chairs ever 😂

Not a lot of housework done that evening as we all giggled like kids ... was quite funny 😄

keepingbees · 02/06/2019 22:05

I love charity shops and have had endless bargains. Recent ones are long leg Next jeans that look new £1.50. Dune saddle bag £3. Mint velvet jeans £2.50. White Company cardigan brand new with £90 tag still on for £6.
A really thick, warm Kangol parka from Sports Direct. Was £110 reduced to £50. Scanned at £25.
I once had some jeans that were £12 in a sale scan for 12p. I was a student and very happy!

Greenteandchives · 02/06/2019 22:16

A Max Azria BCBG silk cocktail dress for £4.50 in a charity shop. I had it altered to fit and it is beautiful.

happinessischocolate · 02/06/2019 22:23

I got a sofa today 2nd hand in perfect condition £20 😁 I'm gutted though as they originally had 2 but sold one before I saw the advert 😟 going to have to fork out for a matching one now

Time40 · 02/06/2019 22:26

My son bought 250 bottles of comfort fabric conditioner for £50 they are £3.50 a bottle normally

What on earth did he do with them all? Is he still using them, ten years or so on?

@Sleepylou, that's the dead spit of my late mum's sewing machine. If it really is the same model, then it's early 50s. They are beautiful machines - lovely to use. I think you will enjoy it! I'd never let mine go, even though I have a more modern machine. Sometimes I use it just for the pleasure of doing so.

TheInebriati · 02/06/2019 22:48

This year on Ebay I've won a gorgeous brand new leather handbag for 99p plus post, vintage Levi jeans for a fiver, and a pair of brand new Skechers shape ups for £10.

I remember the recliners, I was too chicken to order one Grin

WelshMoth · 02/06/2019 22:49

A toast linen smock for £15. Original price £120. Couldn't believe my luck and wore it for years. Still have it now but colour is faded. Love it.

Serendipper · 02/06/2019 23:13

I love a bargain, I bought a Ralph Lauren coat for my son which has a removable inner so 3in1 for £20 (should have been £165) tkmaxx yesterday.

My best have been my wedding dress - I saw it online and realised it was custom made designer dress. I contacted them and asked for a price which was “starts at £3000” I told them it was out of budget but they offered to take my measurements and let me know if any came up in a sample sale. Within a week they phoned to say the exact dress was available in near enough my size for £700 but they wouldn’t hold it so I got a 3hr train the next day and it was mine!
I also got a great deal on my honeymoon - a week in Santorini with a terrace and private hot tub for just over £1000 including flights!

CoolCarrie · 02/06/2019 23:28

I had my eye on a lovely dark green long sleeve silk top in Woolworths which is the SA version of M & S in December of last year, but didn’t have enough money at the time, it was around £75.
Went in last month during their sale and found the only one on the sale rack, for around £15, was delighted, took it up to pay and it wouldn’t go though, hang around for about 10 mins until a manager came over and let me have it for nothing!😃
