To ask what week you gave birth?

39 weeks and so, so fed up. Baby is measuring big, I have only put any real weight on on my bump and it’s exhausting.

I’ve had cramps since 37 weeks, they seem to be getting progressively worse but then back to nothing.

So I just want to know to drive myself mad what week you went into labour, especially with the first?

And if anyone knows any secret to getting this baby out, I’m willing to pay Wink

Bibijayne · 01/06/2019 10:01

Waters broke 36+4. Baby born 36+6.

Zalie · 01/06/2019 10:01

39+2 for both. Apparently my body has a very definite opinion about how long my pregnancies should be.

Kanga83 · 01/06/2019 10:02

10 days overdue with my first and 39 weeks elective csec with my second.

Isthebigwomanhere · 01/06/2019 10:04

40+2 with first
30 weeks with second

poshredrose · 01/06/2019 10:06

42, 42 and 41. With both dc1 and dc2 I started myself the night before I was due to go in to be induced. Dc3 actually felt early to me as I was expecting the same to happen again

ghostyslovesheets · 01/06/2019 10:06

37 - due date - 41+2

TodaysFishIsTroutALaCreme · 01/06/2019 10:07

39w 6d 23 hrs. Am sure she was hanging on for her due date just to prove everyone wrong (the first never comes on time apparently - and the reason why I never got antenatal classes)

Littlemissdaredevil · 01/06/2019 10:23

Water went at 38+0 DD arrived at 38+2. Everyone told me first babies were late so I thought I had weeks to go!

fargo123 · 01/06/2019 10:30

Exact due date each time. Took me quite by surprise TBH as I don't recall having any 'warning' signs beforehand. I just went straight into full blown irregular contractions and had the babies a few hours later.

With DC2, I was driving home from an appointment for DC1 5 hours before DC2 was born, where I had just been told DC1 had lost 1/3 of their hearing due to ear infections and could we schedule an appointment for grommets in four days time. Ummm, no, as I am expecting a baby literally any minute/day now. Maybe the shock of DC1's diagnosis sent me into labour lol. (DC1 had the grommets a couple of weeks later and thankfully went back to 100% hearing).

35+5
Induction for pre Eclampsia

Badabingbadabum · 01/06/2019 10:34

Nearly 42 for both of them. But no indication I was going into labour, just normal then boom: strong, fast contractions! So dont be disheartened!

Ohnotheinlaws · 01/06/2019 10:38

One 40+6 and the other 39+4 born on April Fools Day 😊

doesthiseemright · 01/06/2019 10:38

37

BringOnTheScience · 01/06/2019 10:41

31+3 (pre-eclampsia)
39+5 (also pre-eclampsia so they wouldn't let me go longer: in hospital since 36)

AngeloMysterioso · 01/06/2019 10:45

And my DD was 10lb 13oz

HOLY FUCK 😱

Purplelion · 01/06/2019 10:48

40+4 with my first.
Due date with my second and she was almost 9lbs.
Hoping this one is airing due date too! I’m currently 30 weeks

Catmum26 · 01/06/2019 10:52

i was induced at 39 weeks. i had been 4cm dilated for about 2 weeks so i thought for sure that he would come on his own. i was bouncing on the ball, bathing in clary sage, drinking raspberry leaf tea. nope he was clinging on. as soon as they broke my waters at 39 weeks he was born within about half an hour so he was ready to come but was being stubborn!

KMoKMo · 01/06/2019 10:54

First was 28+4 and second was bang on her due date.

curiositycreature · 01/06/2019 11:00

I really needed this post, I’m 36+4 and the builders are still in. Reckon they’ve got a couple weeks more and needless to say I AM FUCKING PANICKING. Lots of 39+ weeks which is what I needed to hear! Good luck OP, it doesn’t sound like you’ve got long to go now anyway. My antenatal classes said that sex is the only thing with some science in it (brings on contractions apparently) so if you can find a way to do that?! Haha. Also, TENS machines and colostrum harvesting can have similar affects I’ve heard.

babysharkah · 01/06/2019 11:01

31 with twins. Not helping you, sorry!

ImogenTubbs · 01/06/2019 11:01

41+3. Was massive and very fed up. When it was time though she popped out in a couple of hours. She was big too at 8lbs 11oz. Good luck OP.

Slazengerbag · 01/06/2019 11:03

All 3 were 10-12 days over.

DobbyLovesSocks · 01/06/2019 11:06

36+4 with my first and only. I finished work at lunch time and DH and I had sex that afternoon. Went out for the evening and my waters broke at midnight, shortly after going to bed. DS was born at 10 the following morning (so quickly that my DH had to phone work to tell them i wouldn't be in that day lol). I was fed up by 35 weeks so feel your pain - I was also huge and had people commenting on that it wouldn't be long, was I sure I was only having one etc etc.

pandarific · 01/06/2019 11:07

42 weeks exactly - asked to wait and see when presented with induction leaflet as nothing was amiss. It felt like forever, but I believe because it started in its own time and he was ready and far down in my pelvis, it was a fast, efficient labour that was a really good experience overall.

It's great you're having cramps, I never had a peep until a few days before, so you'll probably not be far off. Smile try to use the waiting time to do fun (sedate) stuff - play computer games, make a cake, nest all you like. Good luck!

LoudBatPerson · 01/06/2019 11:08

40+1 with the first.

42 exactly with second.

36+6 with third.
