@LifeInAHamsterWheel Fair enough, sorry I missed that amongst the culinary masterpieces being knocked up on a Tuesday night. You and I will go and sit in the corner with our heads hung in shame. Fancy sharing my sausages with me?

@nokidshere you may make everything at home. But is it "from scratch" (the other key phrase to drop in on threads like these)? That's the killer caveat. Unless you ground the very flour yourself you are not worthy Grin

A 4 ingredient salad that my husband loves:
Cherry tomatoes (cut in halves) with chopped avocado ( mix in a bowl and add sealsalt) then stirfry shrimps (we use small ones from the fridge) and mix them when they come straight from the pan with the tomatoes and avocado.

WheresAllTheGoodInTheWorld · 28/05/2019 14:45

Enchiladas. In fact I've just made them and ready to chuck in oven after Imlaws have left.

Youllneverguesswhat · 28/05/2019 14:49

@Clubbercised I know! DP frustrates me at times Hmm

I dont have a sling. DD is 11 months and I'm heavily pregnant but I'll look into online shopping, I've never done it before.

If I'm too late for a delivery I think I'll spend my evening hovering around your thread thinking about what could've been Grin

TerpsichoreanMuse · 28/05/2019 15:39

Pork belly, vindaloo sauce (home made of course) and maybe my brother's special "Indian" flat bread. "Indian" as in he invented it, he's Caucasian and his lives in Suffolk, but we have it with Indian food. Might also do my black daal.

We're still on holiday this week then back to normal on Monday Sad

TerpsichoreanMuse · 28/05/2019 15:40

There was supposed to be a winky Wink next to home made of course...

LMW1990 · 28/05/2019 15:45

Soy ginger and garlic chicken stir fry with rainbow veg. Prawn gyozas with soy and lime dip.

LePetitPont · 28/05/2019 15:45

We are having some kind of chorizo, spinach and tomato rice concoction, with leftover baguette. DS1 will have marmite crackers.

I work part-time; today is a non-working day. I do a lot of quick stuff all week, I really like simply cook mixes at the moment.

mimibunz · 28/05/2019 15:47

Chicken Parmesan

LePetitPont · 28/05/2019 15:53

Also a massive fan of frozen mashed potato!

nokidshere · 28/05/2019 16:00

Ahhh, what can I say. I think my halo might slip sometimes Wink I bought the flour and milk Sad

Floralmoral · 28/05/2019 16:06

Mediterranean couscous (loads of veg and garlic) and grilled halloumi. Can’t wait.

SandAndSea · 28/05/2019 16:10

Love how everyone is making a deliberate point of saying "HOME MADE xyz". I mean, imagine if some random on the internet thought you BOUGHT your meatballs or soup or whatever. The shame!

No shame here. My homemade stew could also be referred to as "using leftover vegetables, before they go off". It's certainly nothing fancy but, it is tasty and healthy and might give someone some ideas.

BowiesJumper · 28/05/2019 16:17

A load of stuff lobbed in a pan together - broccoli and chickpea stew with lots of onions, garlic, tomatoes, spinach and some peas and spices/chilli. Served with rice.

79Fleur · 28/05/2019 16:29

We were lazy last night and ordered a dominos ...tonight’s meal should have been last nights.
Minted lamb steaks with traybake veg and potatoes. I’m hungry now after reading this thread.

IntoValhalla · 28/05/2019 16:31

SandAndSea no shame here! Every homemade soup I’ve ever made has been utter wank - nowt wrong with a tin of Heinz Wink
And I’ve only tried to make meatballs once....couldn’t handle sticking my hands in the bowl to mulch it all up and shape into balls Envy I buy them. Ready made and perfectly shaped, no mulching required!

hookiwooki · 28/05/2019 16:31

We're having spaghetti bolognese here. Unless @Chelsea26 gives me either an address or a full recipe because that sounds delish.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 28/05/2019 16:37

Chorizo and prawn paella. HOME MADE!

PottyPotterer · 28/05/2019 16:37

Shop bought tortilla with salad. 5 minute job as DS has diving at 6pm and we're just in. Why do all kids activities involve fighting through rush hour traffic, the pool is 5 minutes away on a Sunday afternoon, 25 mins at teatime on a Tuesday Hmm. Will book mark the thread for inspiration though as I've no imagination when it comes to dinners.

redbedheadd · 28/05/2019 16:52

I'm making a Shepherds Pie for the first time. I'm making an effort to cook a few more traditional things for when DS is older ... Used to eat them as a child but as an adult I tend to make more international things.

lucymegan · 28/05/2019 16:55

Wethers crap here so fancied comfort food.
Sausage and mash with veg, Yorkshire's and Gravy 🤤

Nicecupofcoco · 28/05/2019 16:55

I've made a beef chilli, with rice! Loving anything I can chuck in a slow cooker at the minute! Grin

darkriver19886 · 28/05/2019 16:56

BBQ chicken drumsticks, corn on the cob and coleslaw. Really want a takeaway but need to be good.

HotChocolateLover · 28/05/2019 16:57

Beef and ale stew in the slow cooker. It smells divine! Should be ready at about 6 having put it on at about 10.

InMyOwnParticularIdiom · 28/05/2019 17:00

Meatloaf, roast potatoes and ratatouille veg (this is more effort than I usually manage on a weekday!)

DP and I will eat it all; DD2 will eat roast potatoes and a bit of bacon off the edge of the meatloaf Blush
