Sausage casserole tonight -can't wait. It's getting cold where we are now so I'm enjoying the opportunity to have lots of cosy winter dinners!

It’s a spicy version of shepherds pie. Based on keema curry.

My local bakery do one and it is topped with onion Bhaji, rather than mashed potatoes. Delicious.

Tonight's offering is chicken pies, roast pots peas and corn and a head of broccoli that was winking at me from the back of the fridge.

Sausages, mash, peas and gravy for us tonight - delish. Veggie will make his own later

sweet potato chips here which may be a bit spicy by the time they go in the oven with some veggie burgers - no buns, whatever salad is left in the fridge too.

Quorn chicken burger, chips and salad. Not very healthy or exciting. Yesterday I made tomato and leek pearl barley risotto.

Using up yesterday's leftovers - roast pork, cauli and broccoli with gravy in casserole dish, covered in mashed potatoes. Heating now.

ScreamingValenta oooo that’s just made me feel all nostalgic Cold, rainy nights when I still lived at home with mum and dad, and whatever meat and veg we’d had for Sunday lunch would always go in a casserole on Monday night! Yum!!!

Meatloaf, sweet potato fries and probably beans as DS will eat those. Will cook whatever random veg we have in the fridge as well.

Egg chips and beans here before I go.to work...

Made a bit more effort tonight as had offered to take food round to DD and her husband. She's feeling really unwell and he's home late.
So we're having what they're having:
Slice of black pudding topped with fried apple topped with onion chutney;
Jamie's pot roast meatloaf with potato and carrot mash;
Baked strawberry custards.

Only posting to show off as we normally only ever have a main course.
Although I do love cooking puddings.

TBH, they'd probably have preferred a takeaway pizza but are too polite to say so

Ramen for us tonight.
I just used one of those meal kits from Tesco but added shredded miso chicken, pak choi, mange tout, water chestnuts, a couple of gyosas and an egg. It was delicious!

Tonight it's a pasta bake of shells stuffed with spinach and ricotta topped with tomato sauce and cheese, baked till brown on top. Comfort food since it feels like the sun never came up today.

Bangers and mash with onion gravy tonight, it’s so wet and gross outside it’s the only solution!

Were having a Janie Oliver chicken and mushroom pie. One of his 15 min recipes but I always have to rewatch the video on YouTube. It's very easy tbf. Not amazing flavour but easy and satisfying for a rainy day.
