So i have posted before about this - every time I'm on mumsnet and my sound is on all I keep hearing is "congratulations"

Now this has developed to my anti virus kicking in telling me there is a "deceptive site ahead" and I need to exit my browser

Then we had the data breach where people were able to view others profiles and use their accounts to post

MNHQ have never responded

Surely a site that has thousands of people posting very sensitive things (yes I know its 'anonymous' and 'you should never post things you would then feel uncomfortable about') BUT if people can get into your account easily and view your name, postcode and whatever else you have to provide to join mumsnet that's such a worry to me. Any views? I feel like mumsnet deals with a lot of sensitive data and material yet seems to be easily hacked - what is that "congratulations" thing anyway?!

Ive just had a google pop up on my phone saying deceptive site as well

moonrises · 27/05/2019 19:09

I'm getting that too, but I get a big red page telling me that I need to go back to safety. I was also getting them on the daily mail site as well though.

TheAverageJuror · 27/05/2019 19:10

Is it the red warning pop up? I have it too since yesterday

SillyBub · 27/05/2019 19:11

Ditto

InTheEndgameNow · 27/05/2019 19:11

Same here. But I've also had it on other sites in the last few days.

TheAverageJuror · 27/05/2019 19:11

Problem is since today I am getting it on some other sites too. Scanned the phone and nothing

TuckMyWin · 27/05/2019 19:11

I'm getting the big red page on the guardian website too- I think it's an advert triggering it as my husband doesn't get it and he has an adblocker installed.

ThisMustBeMyDream · 27/05/2019 19:12

Same. Since friday.

TheAverageJuror · 27/05/2019 19:15

I have pop ups blocked in settings too. It is annoying

Cryalot2 · 27/05/2019 19:17

I keep getting that too as well as site frequently crashing and message saying that I am on unsafe site.

donquixotedelamancha · 27/05/2019 19:21

Yep, I'm getting the same on my mobile. Ghostery seems to prevent it on PC.

I too think it's an advert automatically redirecting us, but it's making MN all but unusable on mobile for me.

@MNHQ A response would be welcome.

Bufferingkisses · 27/05/2019 19:23

There's a thread in site stuff.

Redshoeblueshoe · 27/05/2019 19:23

I'm getting it too, and I'm just on a cheap tablet

tensmum1964 · 27/05/2019 19:24

Ditto. Mine only started doing this yesterday. Should we be worried?

Chesntoots · 27/05/2019 19:25

I've been getting it all day. Was just about to Google it but will pop along to site stuff...

dalmatianmad · 27/05/2019 19:25

I've had a red warning page this afternoon whilst on MN, before I had chance to click back and different page came up saying I had won an iPhone...

I quickly came off the phone and restarted my phone

Smoothyloopy · 27/05/2019 19:26

Me too & the back arrow wont work either

WorraLiberty · 27/05/2019 19:27

I haven't had it.

Laptop, using Google Chrome.

OP have you reported this thread to MNHQ? They normally come on and respond if you do.

There are hundreds of reports on Site stuff about it and MNHQ have said precisely diddly squat on the matter.

I'm concerned they seem so laid back about all the issues, bugs and potential hacks of late. Would it kill them to stick up a sticky notifying people of the issues or to say please don't use the site until we have worked out if it is safe to do so?
