He shouldn't be PM because he wasn't prepared to step up to the plate three years ago. Anything else is immaterial.

There are lots of valid reasons for not wanting him as PM, but I don't think this is one of them. He and his soon-to-be-ex-wife have been divorced in all but name for some time. They aren't planning on getting back together. Far better for any couple in those circumstances to be able to move on with their lives. I would hope that we live in a sufficiently modern democracy for an unmarried person in a relationship to be able to live with their partner in Downing Street.
