Graphista has it exactly right. People who went to school with him say how this is just a persona he's crafted and how he really has a nasty, manipulative and scheming streak.
All this article proves is that he will humiliate the woman closest to him multiple times. As he did to his first wife. How much less will he think of the poor and vulnerable.
He's shown what he thinks of people not of his background. For example, calling African people piccaninnies. He blamed Liverpool fans for Hillsborough. He erroneously said that the British-Iranian woman detained in Iran, Nazanin Zaghari- Ratcliffe had been training journalists in Iran when she had actually been on holiday. This was extremely dangerous for her.
Then there was the term tank-topped bumboys to describe gay people.
He really is a product of a class with a very narrow world view and a very poor understanding of complexity and nuance. He does not feel he should apologise for his behaviour because he genuinely feels entitled to hold the views he has.
I cannot understand why people think he would make a good PM. He was a terrible mayor of London, who delegated all the heavy lifting to colleagues while spending his time planning for his political rehabilitation and earning money from his other commercial interests, such as his journalism. He has very little respect for others outside of his narrow social circle, so how will he deal with diverse world leaders? How will he empathise with the vulnerable? How will he conduct difficult and complex arrangements with the EU.
We have such a disappointing pool of potential leaders to choose from at the moment but BJ is definitely near the bottom of the pile.
