NurseButtercup · 21/05/2019 12:54

Omelette with salad
Beans on toast
Jacket potatoe (microwave cooked) plus cold filling and salad.

AnotherRubberDuck · 21/05/2019 12:54

Beans on toast?

riotlady · 21/05/2019 12:56

Not many under 15 tbh- stir fry, pasta, quiche and salad, maybe fajitas if I really rushed?

Hadalifeonce · 21/05/2019 12:57

Chicken in a cream and tarragon sauce with pasta

Passthecherrycoke · 21/05/2019 13:00

Not much- pasta/ chicken would take nearly the 15 to cook let alone prep etc. Salads, eggs, heating through ready made quiche etc? Oh beans on toast, jacket potato

Sunshineandshowers81 · 21/05/2019 13:00

I've got the lean 15 Joe wickes series of books loads of different meals in 15 mins

pikapikachu · 21/05/2019 13:00

Couscous salad

Fry up

Cheese on toast

Pancakes

AnotherRubberDuck · 21/05/2019 13:00

I've got a useless electric hob so it takes about 15 minutes just to get a frying pan up to temperature. I use water from the kettle and the pan still takes another 10 minutes to do anything. So pasta & pesto / fresh tortellini & jar sauce takes about half an hour. These could probably be under 15 mins if you had a gas hob.

Boffing · 21/05/2019 13:03

Re children don't eat salad unfortunately, so anythung in microwave is out as I tend to steam veg in there.

Boffing · 21/05/2019 13:05

So can you all trust your children to have had enough fruit and veg at school to give cheese on toast for example?

Dizzywizz · 21/05/2019 13:06

I would add something like pepper/cherry tomatoes/sugar snap peas with the cheese on toast. Pudding is always fruit and yogurt.

LaurieMarlow · 21/05/2019 13:07

It’s not possible to cook a quiche in 15 mins.

But fajitas, omelette, fish and couscous at a push.

leafinthewind · 21/05/2019 13:09

Salmon cooked in cream, with dill and lemon, served with pasta. I cook ribbons of courgette in there too, but you could stick with your microwave steamed vegetables.

If you allow me to prep the meat and marinade the night before I can do a Moroccan-style couscous with lamb neck or chicken thighs, chickpeas, carrots, peppers and cherry tomatoes.

Might be able to do a coconut fish curry (with sugar snap peas or sprouting broccoli) in that time, but then it would have to be with packet rice.

thecatsthecats · 21/05/2019 13:10

Tortellini with extra veg in the. Chop veg whilst pasta cooks in 3m, fry veg whilst pasta drains, add in sauce and pasta.

7m sausage and mash - microwave the sausages, instant mash, peas in boiling water, instant gravy. (not regular but I desperately needed that one).

Stew - ok, this cheats slightly, but all the WORK takes place in 10m. Chop and brown meat. Add veg. Add stock. Leave for 30-60m. Ready.

Stir frys - we like them on the crunchy side.

SilverySurfer · 21/05/2019 13:12

Salmon cooked in foil parcels in the oven with new potatoes, asparagus and peas?

Lwmommy · 21/05/2019 13:14

Dd has school dinners and they make sure they have fruit and veg so i know at least 3/5 will have been covered and she has a piece of fruit with breakfast.

You could slice a tomato on top of cheese on toast
My DD wont eat lettuce but will have a handful of cherry tomatoes, cucumber, sliced peppers, frozen sweetcorn, baby corn or brocolli, all of which can be prepped in less than 5 mins

Pair it with; cold cooked chicken and buttered bread or noodles and stir fried pork/chicken/beef

AdaColeman · 21/05/2019 13:15

Piperade (you could add eggs).
Scrambled eggs with tomatoes and onions.
Shakshuka.
Ready made potato gnocchi with cheese and herbs.
Most fish fillets will cook in under 15 minutes.

cocodash · 21/05/2019 13:16

homemade pizzas
stirfry
omlettes
baked potatoes
cheese on toast
micro meals
fresh pasta and sauce
mushroom taglatelli (with philadelphia sauce)
Chicken curry (in a jar) with micro rice

DogInATent · 21/05/2019 13:17

Chicken Ding.
Pasta salad (using pre-cooked chicken, or a tin of tuna).
Microwaving something you batch-cooked earlier.

Fifteen minutes is tight for most things, unless you can have bits prepped and ready to go. No meat thicker than bacon will be properly cooked from raw in that amount of time.

yy558 · 21/05/2019 13:18

I can't do 15 min meals. I Clean up as I go and that usually takes up time. I get anxiety from Jamie Oliver leaving so much mess when I watch his 15/30 minute meals.

It's 15 mins if I've chucked something in the slow cooker and I'm just making up salad to go with....

SandAndSea · 21/05/2019 13:19

All sorts of soups and sauces using a soupmaker. I can chop and chuck the veg in, press the button and walk away. It does the rest.

TrixieFranklin · 21/05/2019 13:19

Cheesey pasta
