To think throwing milkshakes over people is disgusting?

So apparently it’s okay to chuck milkshakes over people we disagree with?

Now, I do not like Tommy Robinson, Carl Sargon, or Farage. However, I think that chucking cold food at them, or threatening to, is pathetic. If you disagree with them, then debate them. Take down their argument intelligently. Chucking a cheap milkshake makes you look like a toddler.

Shame about a salted caramel and banana milkshake - he didn't deserve such a nice one

MangoFeverDream · 21/05/2019 17:49

Way to put yourself forward as a militant twat there

Wtf is wrong with you? All I said was that these things are decided at the ballet box. If people really don’t like them, guess what? They won’t get votes.

perfectstorm · 21/05/2019 17:51

I think legitimising assault on someone whose views horrify you is playing into these people's hands. Farage is a creepy, horrible, pathologically lying little shit.

Politics gets more aggressive and mindless, and we all lose out. That's what's happening all over the world right now, and it is frankly frightening. Participating in that deterioration isn't big, clever or productive.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 21/05/2019 17:53

If it pleases you to dismiss me as being 'delicate' then go ahead

It doesn't please me. What I resent is the implication that because I'm a woman I should find it as intimidating as you would/do, and comply with some group thought. You acted like you just could not believe that other women might think/respond differently.

Well hopefully you never have to find out how you'd react to a rape threat. I have been threatened and it was terrifying

Sorry that's very shit. But respectfully it's your personal experience.

I have my own experience, which leads me to see actual violence as more of a threat than a man spouting shit to endorse his (very flagging) sense of manhood.

Quintella · 21/05/2019 17:54

Okay milkshakes are very dangerous and terrifying.

Got it.

ThatssomebadhatHarry · 21/05/2019 17:57

I think selling out a whole country for your own greedy ends is a tad worse though.

Quintella · 21/05/2019 17:57

Rape is a real threat to many women. Dismissing it as no big deal and milkshakes being thrown on Farage as a much bigger deal is utter bullshit. Respectfully.

JustDanceAddict · 21/05/2019 17:58

Over decent individuals- not on. Over Farage and his fascist pals - go for it.

derxa · 21/05/2019 18:04

Over decent individuals- not on. Over Farage and his fascist pals - go for it. Do you decide who's decent?

ruthboros · 21/05/2019 18:06

Custard pie would have been funnier

BiBiBirdie · 21/05/2019 18:10

@Quintella GrinGrinGrin
I think next time my DC are being naughty, I won't threaten to take their console or phone. Instead I shall tell them I will pour milkshake over them as punishment 😂

Yb23487643 · 21/05/2019 18:16

Throwing milkshake is nearly as bad as throwing an eye or punching someone with an egg in your hand.

FoodologistGirl · 21/05/2019 18:18

I wonder if trump will get rotten tomatoes, eggs and milkshakes thrown at him on his June visit?

campista · 21/05/2019 18:19

Apart from anything else that suit will never be the same again. One spilt latte and my car still reeks on a warm day.....

winniestone37 · 21/05/2019 18:26

They're Nazis, milkshakes is the very least we can throw.

Jogonandshutup · 21/05/2019 18:26

It is disgusting behaviour - no idea how people can think this is ‘ok’ just because their ideas differ.

You should be ashamed of yourselves if this is acceptable to you!

winniestone37 · 21/05/2019 18:27

@dexra Nazi's arent decent full stop.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 21/05/2019 18:32

Where did I dismiss it as no big deal? But lets assume I did. What difference does it make?

What you really mean is 'How dare you not agree with me that a man saying a rape joke is more serious than using actual violence to shut someone up'

Hence all the derogatory bullshitting.

I certainly don't need reminding that rape is a threat to women.

Throwing objects at people who have done nothing violent is dangerous for democracy in general (couldn't care less about Farage personally, my concern is he wins adherents by such behaviour) which underpins our society. That's my view.

You think I'm talking bullshit, fair do's. You've said it. Even if I knew who you were, and where you lived, I wouldn't buy a milkshake, walk up to you and throw it in your face just because my feelings might be hurt by your response.

You're entitled to think what you like whether you're a woman or not. As happily, am I. Great thing about democracy eh?

winniestone37 · 21/05/2019 18:35

@MangoFeverDream yeah Hitler got votes remember, Farage is an upcoming Hitler no doubt.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 21/05/2019 18:36

Fucking hell. It’s ok to make a rape joke about someone but not to throw a milkshake? What the actual fucking fuck!

ClaryFray · 21/05/2019 18:43

Don't you know abusing people who you have a disagreement with is okay, as long as society say its okay. Select groups are exempt from questioning

BiBiBirdie · 21/05/2019 18:43

We can only hope @FoodologistGirl
Well said @SinisterBumFacedCat

GuidoTheKillerPimp · 21/05/2019 18:53

I wonder what would reactions be if Robinson concentrated on Black poeople instead of Muslims🤔

Anyone who would make that comparison is just as much of an imbecile as Farage...

MrsBadcrumble123 · 21/05/2019 19:01

You lose any respect from me when you resort to this type of loutish behaviour! Those agreeing that it’s ok are what is wrong with society nowadays

bubblegumunicorn · 21/05/2019 19:06

I mean these people get arrested so it’s up to the courts to decide how to handle it now! But it’s pretty childish behaviour really!
