To ask what's going on with my body?!

Good morning!
Ok so just to get it out the way with for people that may ask, no I'm not here asking you to tell me if I'm pregnant, the answer to that is no I'm definitely not.

Since I started my period aged 12 if I remember correctly I've never ever been more than 4 days late in my life (mid twenties now) last month i was a few days late nothing alarming though.

However this month I've had period pains for the last 2 weeks, im currently 14 days late and yesterday morning I had a very small amount of brown blood but absolutely nothing at all since, yet still the pains!

What is going on! This is driving me mad, when I'm at work with the pains i rush to the toilet with a tampon because I don't want to leak but there's nothing, its so strange for my body personally, my cycle is normally so regular.

I came on to say that it sounds exactly like my early pregnancy symptoms!

Congratulations OP!

KellyW88 · 14/05/2019 22:40

Go to your doctors OP you’re not wasting their time. I started getting something similar happen when I hit 26 - sporadically my period pains would hit, my PMT would skyrocket (I rarely have PMS or PMT) and I’d have either a one day period which was dark coloured or nothing at all. I was actually suffering from severe endometriosis and this was the start of the symptoms that lead to me getting diagnosed (3 years later after multiple theories but I won’t go into that.)

Now I’m not saying this is the case for you OP, AT ALL - but it really is better to be safe than sorry when something randomly changes and causes you concern.

flep · 14/05/2019 22:42

Thanks OP.

And congratulations on your result! (You sound happy so I'm hoping that's the right response for me to give!)

QueenBeex · 14/05/2019 22:45

I am very happy, although I'm pretty sure I'll lose my fiance in the morning when I share the news as kids aren't wanted, hence the reason for condoms even though I was told pregnancy naturally was very unlikely.

But either way I'm happy right now and my minds already made up!

Feel rather sick now think I'm in shock tbh I ring doctors in the morning x

I don’t know how you are feeling - I fell pregnant accidentally in my mid 20s but was engaged/buying a house. I presume your 2/3 month since means you’re single...? It also means you need to get to your GP ASAP whatever you choose to do, scans etc. I hope you have some support to help get your head around it.

ThePerturbedPenguin · 14/05/2019 22:48

Congratulations!

I’m sorry about your fiancé... how come he agreed to unprotected sex if he definitely doesn’t want sex?

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 14/05/2019 22:48

Congratulations!!

ShastaBeast · 14/05/2019 22:48

Oh cross posted. 2/3 months is a big gap. I hope he comes round. Clearly you don’t share his plans for a child free life.

ememem84 · 14/05/2019 22:49

Wow. How do you feel about it?

Get yourself a dr appointment. And they can talk you through things.

I came on to say that it sounded very much like my pregnancy symptoms for dc2 (currently 29 weeks) and I was absolutely in denial that it was pregnancy. How could it be...I was on the pill......but suprise!

Fluffymullet · 14/05/2019 22:49

Congratulations! Hope all goes well.when you tell your fiance tomorrow, he might be over the moon x

ihatemyjobsomuch · 14/05/2019 22:53

Congratulations op, make sure you get some folic acid tomorrow Flowers

AtlasObscura · 14/05/2019 22:53

Goodness, congratulations OP xxx

QueenBeex · 14/05/2019 22:55

It was only the once without condoms, I'm not sure why we didn't use one that night.
We work complete different hours now so we don't see eachother all that much anymore, hence why such the big gap in sexual intercourse Blush when we are together we normally sleep because we've both been working.
I've been clear from the start that I do want children, we just seem to put the issue to the back of our heads and years later this has happened. It's all rather odd, thinking about it our relationship has been rather strange the past 6 months or so. I'm not thinking too much about that right now I'll see what happens tomorrow

Ah crap @QueenBeex I missed your update further down the thread! So sorry Blush Congratulations OP, I do hope all goes well for you 😊Flowers

Iwrotethissongfor · 14/05/2019 23:06

Well it sounds like a congrats, im pleased for you. As well as folic acid i’d make an urgent call to GP re whatever meds you referred to that you've started taking again. The first trimester is the most crucial time for folic acid and to be avoiding meds due to rapid development of foetus so get that checked out. Hope fiance deals with it well.

Cherrysherbet · 14/05/2019 23:07

Aww congratulations 😊

Qweenbee · 14/05/2019 23:09

QueenBeex · 14/05/2019 23:10

Thank you everyone! xx
I will be ringing up GP first thing!

Have you been fitted with a copper coil? I found when I had one I'd get cramps 3 to 5 days before any bleeding started. 😑

ShowMeTheKittens · 14/05/2019 23:12

Don't panic, get yourself to the GP. It could just be a weird period, I have had them like that. Brownish blood is common in periods.

MadeForThis · 14/05/2019 23:12

Congratulations. Hope that your fiancé is ok with the news. You never know. He might be 100% on board.

caringcarer · 14/05/2019 23:13
