What a great week for football.
Loved the games this week.

But its a long time since the title went down to the wire like this. Even the miricle year leicester won theg won by 10 points, last year CIty ran away with it.

When was the last time it went down to the last natch like this? Blackburn and man u in 1995?

I'm a wolves fan and we're playing liverpool but i'm desparate for liverpool to win the title. I really dislike city. I of course always want the gold and black army to win but i'm almost happier if we lose today.

Sakura Liverpool have been amazing all season. Just pure class.

JacquesHammer · 12/05/2019 16:33

United fans will be fuming

Not all. My best friend is a Man Utd fan, he’s far rather the title stays in the city than go to another.

I find the whole “x should be deadly rivals with y” all but foolish.

Myothercarisalsoshit · 12/05/2019 16:34

naught but City have never disrespected any cup comps. You’re being silly. Hate City by all means (we don’t care) but don’t make shit up. You just look bad.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 12/05/2019 16:34

City haven’t devalued any cup competitions and have fielded full strength teams throughout. Maybe that’s why we won the league cup and are in the FA cup final. (We don’t mention the CL!) There will be a full strength detachment of Mancs heading to Wembley next weekend. Sorry OP. I can’t go. Have to buy food instead!

Again notice my critism of devaluing the cups was leveled at ALL OF THE TOP SIX ALL OF THEM.

And yes city have devalued the cups by sending the message oh it doesnt matter if you come to the cup games oh well dont bother

Its not levelled at the fans who take the oppunity not to go, thats up to you. But the message is dont bother we dont care

I find football very stressful to watch, does anyone else? My DF and DB are season ticket holders of a lower league club who have more ups and downs than a roller coaster. I don't know how they put themselves through it week in week out.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 12/05/2019 16:35

You clearly do care. Unlike your club

Giving Solskjaer the full time job seemed to be kiss of death. They were on a roll until then.

Muddlingalongalone · 12/05/2019 16:36

Oh no many United fans including myself would much much rather City won than Liverpool.

JacquesHammer · 12/05/2019 16:36

I don't know how they put themselves through it week in week out

I learned very early on that it’s so much easier when you realise every team will go through shit patches. My team lost yesterday and the angst the fans are posting is absolutely mind boggling. It’s not realistic to expect good patches all the time.

Ohnotanothernamechange · 12/05/2019 16:37

They were calling him their saviour until a few weeks ago!

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 12/05/2019 16:38

*Not all. My best friend is a Man Utd fan, he’s far rather the title stays in the city than go to another.

Well yes, tbf to united fans tyey've said that all along if its not us its city and as its liverpool its definatly city.
However you say you find the deaadly rivaks thing foolish you do realise thats why theg want it to be city they hate liverpool more than they hate city

OP posts:
Crunchymum · 12/05/2019 16:38

Maybe you should ask for MNHQ to change the thread title as clearly OP just wants to have a pop at Man City.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 12/05/2019 16:39

I honesty expected Man U to finish above Chelsea. Then suddenly no body seemed to want 4th anymore and kept dropping points one after the other. Still surprised we've managed it tbh.

Myothercarisalsoshit · 12/05/2019 16:40

naught may club doesn’t care? Catch yourself on. We won the league cup and are in the final of the FA cup. What a load of nonsense.

JacquesHammer · 12/05/2019 16:40

However you say you find the deaadly rivaks thing foolish you do realise thats why theg want it to be city they hate liverpool more than they hate city

No....he doesn’t hate other clubs because it’s a deadly rivalry, that’s the point. He’s a football fan (as am I) he’d rather the team that deserves it wins. Hes hoping Liverpool win the CL.

People who subscribe to the whole “we’re x, y are scum” mentality tend to be - IME - deathly dull.

Ohnotanothernamechange · 12/05/2019 16:41

JacquesHammer in the case of my DF and DB's team it's definitely more shit patches than good patches! DB does get really angry over it as well, he's very vocal about the manager needing to be sacked, the board all being wankers etc lol.

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 12/05/2019 16:42

naughtmay club doesn’t care? Catch yourself on. We won the league cup and are in the final of the FA cup. What a load of nonsense

But they dont want their fans to support them cop on to yourself.

Actally again it shows that your club are souless they dont care wether their stadiam is well attended its jyst business busimess busoness

It has been incredible Myothercarisalsoshit - I just hope they have something to show for it in 3 weeks time. In which case I think City and Liverpool will be looking longingly at each other's trophies!

JacquesHammer · 12/05/2019 16:44

in the case of my DF and DB's team it's definitely more shit patches than good patches!

Been there, done that and back there again Grin

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 12/05/2019 16:45

Oh in your friends case that may well be the case but many many united fans woukd want any one other than other than liverpool to win the league, even if it was chelsea or arsenal.

OP posts:
JacquesHammer · 12/05/2019 16:45

This will probably come and bite me in a few weeks time, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Liverpool blow it in the CL as well.

blackistheneworange · 12/05/2019 16:46

Wolves fan here too but again hoping for Liverpool

Itsagrandoldteam · 12/05/2019 16:48

When was the last time it went down to the last match like this? Blackburn and man u in 1995?

How can you not remember the 2012 Agueeerooooo moment, when he scored in the last few seconds. That was one of the best moments in the history of football.

Everton fans are just sad and bitter though

Naff off, I'm not sad at all, I'm over the fecking moon - come on city.

Myothercarisalsoshit · 12/05/2019 16:49

Naught don’t want their fans to support them? What new shit is this? City do not force fans into an expensive cup scheme (thank goodness or I wouldn’t be able to go). That doesn’t mean they don’t want the support or they’re disrespecting anything. Other teams do force fans into a cup scheme which is why they may get more cup support. It’s overstated anyway. The Etihad is usually full. Look it up. It’s rare to have many empty seats. People have to prioritise. And that’s ok. It’s not just ‘busoness’ City have been very involved in regeneration and work in the community.

JacquesHammer · 12/05/2019 16:51

You know, I don’t care who it is, there’s nothing like seeing a team celebrate winning the league.

You have to smile.
