Thinking of sending Dd to.nursery for 1 or 2 days a week.

Looking at prices just now and ranging from £30-50 per day, meals included, time 8-6

Can I ask what you pay ? Just trying to work out what the average price is though i know its relative to where you live etc

£850 a month full time in the East Midlands! Shock at people paying more, I thought mine was high

Thistledew · 11/05/2019 07:11

£80.50 per day for under 3, £73.55 for over 3. Nappies not included, but 3 meals a day and formula is. They accept the funding for 2 and 3+ years but you have to 'top up'.

SW London, zone 4.

JuliusSeesaw · 11/05/2019 07:13

If you're in Glasgow you can check www.gfis.org.uk for private partnership nurseries where you can use the free hours.

Someaddedsugar · 11/05/2019 07:13

£56.50 a day up until DS is 2 and then I think it goes to £52. Food, nappies and wipes all included. Hours are 8 - 6. We're in the north east. DS only goes two days a week though and there's a reduced rate under £50 a day if he went full time.

radgybadger · 11/05/2019 07:15

First DC went to one as you described - farm setting very 'shiny' on the outside, home cooked meals. DC2 goes to a town nursery due to logistics, takes packed lunch.

Now they've been there a while I'd definitely say go with your gut feeling about the staff rather than the venue. I'd recommend the cheaper town nursery every time solely based on that.

Cost wise I pay £20 9-1 whereas before it was approx £35. In East Yorkshire.

silvercuckoo · 11/05/2019 07:25

£73 for a full day, after 15 hours allowance is deducted. London.

Liefster · 11/05/2019 07:37

I'm in Herts (but very close to London) and we pay £73 per day (7.30-6pm). Includes all food, nappies and wipes. It's the going rate here though having looked at several before choosing this one. Some charge the same and don't provide any food - ridiculous!

NCforthis2019 · 11/05/2019 07:38

In London - about £67 per day - only food included.

Partylikeits20199 · 11/05/2019 07:39

SW London £100 a day... slight reduction if in 5 days. About standard

Pppppppp1234 · 11/05/2019 07:45

Yorkshire - £44 a day, one of the more expensive I looked at, ofsted outstanding, 7.30-6pm, three meals a day. Nappies were provided when in them and also sun cream etc for the summer.

Cheapest I found was 37 but I didn’t like.... it was a portacabin essentially!

Lozzy25 · 11/05/2019 07:45

The nursery I work in charge £65 a day!! In the south east. The £65 includes 3 meals and 2 snacks cooked by on site chef with food from the local butcher etc, nappy's and wipes are also included.

WonderTweek · 11/05/2019 07:50

Around £56 a day (8-6.30) in the South West. Includes everything and organic etc meals cooked by the on site chef. It's pricey but the nursery is fantastic and the group sizes are small so it really feels like a home away from home. Smile

LetsDialDownTheIanPaisley · 11/05/2019 07:52

My son is 3 so we get 30 free hours which works out £29 per day 3 days per week. The other 2 days he is at a childminders for £45 per day. Zone 3 London.

liitlepenguin · 11/05/2019 07:53

East mids we paid £52 a day each for DS twins !! They now get the 30 free hours and I feel richer than the Queen Grin

Nottheboreworms · 11/05/2019 07:54

Herts. £62 a day. 7.30 - 6. Didn't include nappies or wipes (but we no longer need them). DS gets 30 free hours now which helps massively. Food is charged on top. I don't think it's expensive. The staff are amazing but don't get paid that well. DS gets forest school, rugby tots, loads of activities included and home cooked organic food.

EnglishRose13 · 11/05/2019 07:54

£44 a day. Meals and wipes included.

Weepingwillows12 · 11/05/2019 07:54

£65 per day under 2, £61 over 2. South East. Nursery provides 3 meals a day plus snacks but not nappies or wipes. Counting down the days to the free hours discount.

GrumpySausage · 11/05/2019 07:57

£39 a day. Includes meals and snacks. I'd say that's about average around my area.

It's a private nursery but we get free hours for DS. Two more years until DD gets them and then like a PP said I'll feel richer than the Queen!

GrumpySausage · 11/05/2019 07:58

Sorry should I've said I'm in the East Midlands.

CantWaitForSpring1 · 11/05/2019 08:08

£52 per day in Derbyshire (7.30-6) All meals and snacks included but we need to provide our own nappies and wipes.

MustardScreams · 11/05/2019 08:11

£51 for 8-6 including food but not nappies or wipes. In Norfolk.

MumOfTwoMasterOfNone · 11/05/2019 08:14

£48.50 including meals, nappies etc. and activities at pre-school age (drama, football, French etc.)
North-west.

hsegfiugseskufh · 11/05/2019 08:15

hsegfiugseskufh · 11/05/2019 08:16
