Thinking of sending Dd to.nursery for 1 or 2 days a week.

Looking at prices just now and ranging from £30-50 per day, meals included, time 8-6

Can I ask what you pay ? Just trying to work out what the average price is though i know its relative to where you live etc

£34 a day, includes all meals.

We are in Scotland too - I think where you can use the free hours depends on your local authority. Ours currently only has a couple of private nurseries where you can use the hours but they are extending this to others from next year. My 3yo goes to a school nursery 2 days a week so we don’t have to pay for those days each week

Mummyh2016 · 11/05/2019 03:09

£51 a day but with the tax free childcare that knocks £10 off. Ours is rated the best in the area. Went to see 4 nurseries and the one we chose stood out by a mile.

Rach182 · 11/05/2019 03:14

@fullprice Shock I'm guessing that kind of price can only be in west London? Or literally in the City by your office?

And I was feeling bad about my zone 6 price of £68 a day... Makes me glad I left zone 1 now!

Trebla · 11/05/2019 05:30

£30 a day. Meals inc and they use cloth nappies. 7.30 til 5.30. So £90 a week for 3 days.

This goes down to £35 a week when he turns 3 due to his ECE hours.

We live in NZ though.

SherlockSays · 11/05/2019 05:33

I'm in West Yorkshire and ours is £38 a day - everything included except formula. She goes 7.15-4.30 but a full day is up until 6.

It was the most expensive one we looked at, others were £35-36.

leasedaudi · 11/05/2019 05:52

£81 per day including nappies and food

Lauren83 · 11/05/2019 06:03

Outskirts of Manchester, £52 a day all meals and cows milk (no nappies/wipes/formula) open 7.30-6.30 although DS goes 7.30-4.30

Thegirlhasnoname · 11/05/2019 06:08

£48.50 a day in West Yorkshire includes 3 meals and a snack for an under 2. (Reduces to £47.50 for over 2s).

SimonJT · 11/05/2019 06:08

I pay £83 a day, that doesn’t include food/nappies (if you need them).

SimonJT · 11/05/2019 06:08

Sorry, forgot to say that’s north easy London.

Sweetooth92 · 11/05/2019 06:17

£39 a day, he can be there 7-6 (we pick up around 4 but it’s an option if needed) including 4 meals & 2 snacks but we provide nappies. He’s always made something/been baking/painting etc and they buy the kids Easter and Christmas presents and so on. We are midlands. I adore our nursery. Prices when we viewed ranges from £36-£45 a day but that was just over a year ago.

Gargamel1975 · 11/05/2019 06:28

115 pounds a day 😩

kidsmakesomuchwashing · 11/05/2019 06:39

£48 a day including 3 meals, 2 snacks and clubs / activities each day (tennis, dance, forest school etc etc) 7:30-6 but they offer a discount for 5 days a week, so is £700 for a four week month five days a week.

HoHoHolittlepea · 11/05/2019 06:42

south east £70 a day for an under 2.

MiniMaxi · 11/05/2019 06:48

About £75 a day including food but excl nappies. London zone 3.

Beasmamma · 11/05/2019 06:50

£83 a day including nappies and meals. That’s the discounted rate as she is in 5 days. I’m in Surrey.

Camomila · 11/05/2019 06:51

£55 for an over 2 in the South East. Includes meals, nappies (for those still in nappies), sun cream, a music guy who comes in, and Spanish lessons.
There are other lessons you can pay for but DS hadn't tried them yet (Forest school and Tennis)
I think under 2s are £65 a day but don't know as DS was 2.5 when he started.

WishIwas19again · 11/05/2019 06:52

£43-46 (4 year old and 1 year old) a day in the North. Includes food and wipes, we supply our own nappies.

Chilledout11 · 11/05/2019 06:53

These are shocking prices!! It's 35 euro a day here (Ireland)

thebirthlyhallows · 11/05/2019 06:53

£34 per day. Includes all food and snacks.

I'm horrified by all the London prices 😯 I'm in the NW

Divgirl2 · 11/05/2019 06:54

Scotland (big city) - £61/day. Includes meals but not nappies or wipes or anything. Prices range from about £40/day+, the one DS is at is definitely on the more expensive side but it's the most convenient and they were by far the best from the hundreds I visited.

eastertulip · 11/05/2019 06:55

We live in a small city far from London, £45 a day, 0-3 this includes food but not nappies. After 3, the government help kicks in.

TwittleBee · 11/05/2019 07:00

7am till 7pm it's £55 including all meals for 2 year old.

Groovee · 11/05/2019 07:04

@River86 no you don't need to send her to a school nursery but I will warm you that in my LA under the 1140 hours due to be implemented everywhere by next year, quite a few partner nurseries have withdrawn from the funded hours as they can't afford it. The amount our council plan to pay is extremely low. So you need to check the nursery will offer the funded hours.

79Fleur · 11/05/2019 07:04

North Yorkshire - £53 a full day meals and snacks included (does not include nappies). Price average for the area - go look at what’s available to you price paid has no real bearing on type/level of care and learning styles offered- visit and see where suits your child and ethos.
