I am being unreasonable

Next door have recently inflated a hot tub in their garden. There is a bunch of rowdy teenagers loudly carousing in it. My baby's room backs on to the garden and it's keeping her up. I know they have the right to use their garden as they like at seven pm on a Friday but I'm still unreasonably annoyed.

Care to share anything you're unreasonably annoyed about?

I'm annoyed with my next door neighbour (1 parking space 2 cars) and the owner of the black fiesta who park their cars in such a silly way opposite our issued parking spaces that parking becomes a tedious 15 million manoeuvre instead of a simple reverse.
Its been ongoing for 3 months and I've not said anything just grumble as I back and forth into the space ensuring I don't catch either of my neighbours cars because it's not like we have wide parking spaces either 🙄

sailorcherries · 10/05/2019 20:16

I'm also becoming irrationally annoyed at Criminal Minds - they might catch the bad guys but they are constantly on their phones when flying and they get video links. How? Surely their plane works the same as any other?
I'm not buying it.

MaMisled · 10/05/2019 20:18

I'm annoyed because I just read an article about apricots causing stomach pain then I ate three apricots.

Now I have stomach pain.

viques · 10/05/2019 20:20

I am feeling unreasonably annoyed because I went round to the corner shop a while ago to buy noodles to have with the stir fry and they were shut. They never shut, even open on Christmas Day. Clearly there has been an emergency of some sort but I had to cook rice instead and it wasn't the same. And it made more washing up.

be47 · 10/05/2019 20:21

I'm irrationally annoyed because a student bought me a cheesecake today on their last day of year 11. I love cheesecake.

BUT IT'S A BAD CHEESECAKE.

(And this is why I can't have nice things)

nickyXjayno · 10/05/2019 20:23

Whistling. I cannot stand tuneless loud whistling. Old men are murder for it and it makes me want to tell them they look and sound ridiculous.
I also hate humming.
I work in a supermarket and its all I hear all day.....
Can you tell I'm bloody hormonal lol.

BogglesGoggles · 10/05/2019 20:25

@sendcoffee you’ve described my husband (although it’s usually not estates). Which brings me to my AIBU. My husband keeps on buying fucking cars and we have no money as a result...AIBU? I don’t think so-although I did total one of them so maybe I am...

Chocolateandwineplease27 · 10/05/2019 20:25

I'm annoyed at a bin man who lives opposite our house and rides a motorbike - he ALWAYS parks his bike outside our house rather than his own and wakes us up at 5 every morning

Cherylshaw · 10/05/2019 20:28

I get unreasonably annoyed when the holiday home across the road has the same family in it any long weekend or school holiday. It's like their kids have never been outside, cycling about like the street is amazing, playing Kirby like they have never seen a ball. Everything is so bloody wonderful to them.

wannabebetter · 10/05/2019 20:28

I'm irrationally annoyed that after spending months teaching ddog to fetch, she now wants me to play fetch all night.....

DragonforaMIL · 10/05/2019 20:30

I'm unreasonably annoyed at our neighbour. He's been twatting around with his speedboat engine all day. It's made my hangover so much worse.

MaybeitsMaybelline · 10/05/2019 20:30

Trust me they will tire of it, it won’t last the summer,

PolarBearBubbles · 10/05/2019 20:32

That would wind me up too. Nothing screams chav like a garden hot tub!

lolaflores · 10/05/2019 20:32

I.have my window open enjoying the songs the birds sing before sunset...except for the bloody cars and bloody people having shouty conversations keep interrupting it.I would just like some peace

charleeoneill · 10/05/2019 20:35

I get annoyed when my next door neighbour slams her bin lid and it sets my dogs off barking. I also hate that she lets her ancient, blind dog out onto the garden at 7am on a Sunday morning when it just barks constantly without taking a breath. What happened to people having a lie in on a Sunday? 😩

thatwomanwho · 10/05/2019 20:35

I get annoyed at my very loveliest dearest friend who keeps inviting me to the same event/thing she is desperate to try out to but I don't want to attend at all.

The first time i must have turned it down with far too nice of a lie, and now every time one happens in our area she asks me to go and i need to make a new excuse. It's become such a running joke that we both 'want to go so much' that she even sends me ones she knows we can't attend these days (the last one was on the same day as a friends baby shower).

I am almost out of excuses and i am very annoyed i will probably have to go to the next one just to have it out of the way and not have to lie again! (I feel it is past the point of being honest about the fact it doesn't interest meand telling her i would rather spend the money on us having a spa day or lunch and a cocktail catch up!)

I get annoyed with people who post on here, moaning about neighbours being too noisy or inadequate space to park their cars, when they should have chosen to live in the middle of nowhere where instead!

moofolk · 10/05/2019 20:39

I'm annoyed at the children.

I thought they'd be really demanding this evening and so I didn't try to do anything myself (read a book, have a bath, do some work, tidy the kitchen), but they've been getting on with their games really nicely and I've wasted a whole evening scrolling through nonsense on my phone.

Why can't they be more predictable?! Little shits.

Bunnyhop1502 · 10/05/2019 20:43

I’m irrationally annoyed at my neighbour who, on recycling day after the bins have been emptied, leaves them on her drive. They aren’t in anybodies way but they have been emptied and instead of putting them back in a nice neat pile she just kicks them out the way so she can get off her drive. Put them back, you lazy wench!

TrumpsFerret · 10/05/2019 20:43

I'm annoyed that I am short and couldn't reach the curtain pole. Threw a proper wobbly. I have been this short for 25 years. I am then irrationally annoyed that dh is super tall and want him to shrink a bit.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 10/05/2019 20:50

I am annoyed that the cat is lying on my lap, snoring in a way that would put DP to shame, and I want a cup of tea. Also annoyed that DP is at football, so even if the cat wakes/moves, I will have to make my own tea.

MissConductUS · 10/05/2019 20:54

I’m irrationally annoyed at my neighbour who, on recycling day after the bins have been emptied, leaves them on her drive.

I get really annoyed at people who leave their bins in the street next to their driveway rather than bringing them back to the house as they are supposed to. It makes the neighborhood look very unkempt. I also go out walking for exercise very early on the weekends and have occasionally moved the bins of repeat offenders from the street to the center of their driveways so that they can't get in or out without stopping to move them.

Thecurtainsofdestiny · 10/05/2019 20:56

Last year I was irrationally annoyed that, having planted " bee friendly plants" we ended up with 2 bees nests in our house/ garden.

Seriously, what did I expect to happen!

ReganSomerset · 10/05/2019 20:59

Some of these are hilarious.

Put them back you lazy wench!

I have a shared 5 car, first come first served drive. I get unreasonably annoyed when anyone parks in the first space, that’s my space!!! I get angry when I come back and someone’s in my spot, even DD (4) comments ‘how dare they use our spot’ but I know I’m being vvvv unreasonable.
