People who look so polished ... How???

Posting for traffic and maybe in the hopes of finding a wizard who can tell me how to achieve this.

So in my immediate circle of friends I know 2 couples who always look so polished and put together they could've jumped out of a Next catalogue!
For me it's like dark magic. They always have clean, ironed and up to date clothes.
Especially the ladies, hair always blow dried or very neat, ridiculously smooth skin even up close, and clothes which must've come out of the brand new next collection (they all dress in a very similar way).
None of them are "would look good in a bin bag and a pair of crocs" type of beautiful but they are just so well put together they always look amazing!

But how can you look so good, fresh and put together all the time with 2 or 3 small DCs in tow, a house and job and all the stuff that comes along with that?

My put together is clothes that passed the sniff test and makeup hastily slapped on whilst DCs are having breakfast before we are out of the door.

I agree with the above posts. The reason I can look effortless going out is because I have already put the groundwork in. So:

Pedicure ✔️
Skin cared for ✔️
Good lingerie ✔️
Hair professionally cut & highlighted ✔️
Teeth whitened ✔️

I suggest you get some lash extensions and gel nails just every three weeks
That should help immediately

Hammond I definitely reap the benefits if I make an effort. Today I wore make up just for the sake of it and I went to the gym! Tomorrow I'm going to try to eat healthier as that always makes me feel like I look better, and confidence is everything.

Two things entirely: being thin and money.

This thread makes me laugh. Full of women at the start saying all you need is a decent hair cut and classic clothes. Followed by women sharing lots of tips about how to look polished that reveal just how much time and money they are actually spending.

I usually feel a bit sorry for people who have their eyelashes done, it looks weird and very try-hard.

I never really look polished but I think it's my clothes. I'm 5ft pear shaped so hard to find clothes that fit waist (smallish) and bum (sticks out)

But it's no lie. Making a small effort on daily maintenance, like skincare, pays huge dividends to how you look. There are lots of posters saying a few minutes away from the TV makes a difference to how easy getting dressed becomes. I spend what I do (not a lot) to compensate for my failing eyesight that affects how I paint my toenails. At 63, I don't need to apologise for spending £15 to have better looking groomed hooves. I also have my eyebrows threaded and dyed. I can't do it without glasses and they get in the way of plucking.

Fair play XingMing. I see a lot of women looking fantastic in there 50s, 60s, 70s 80s. It has changed now, we are not expected to go to seed. My mother was a martyr for us; hit her 60s and went from strength to strength.

Long way off but graceful and immaculate is my intention for aging.

I agree it's a lot to do with maintenance rather than overhaul! That may be different for whoever you are depending on style, lifestyle etc.
