I very rarely talk in my sleep however apparently last night I nudged DH awake and asked him to check the little man was still in the cupboard.

I've no idea what I was dreaming but DH confirmed there was in fact, no little man in our cupboard.

Anyone else?

my DB used to talk in his sleep when we were little and shared a room, one night he sat bolt up right and shouted "I want a fucking biscuit" then promptly laid back down and started snoring.

Mollypolly2610 · 01/05/2019 19:04

I don’t think I talk in my sleep much but my DH said I woke him up through the night looked at him horrified and said “why are you still here you’re supposed to be sorting out the reindeer!!”

No idea! It wasn’t even near Christmas time

Naked in the hall of a Turkish hotel (the last and final time I sleep naked.). In PJs on a patio i in Greece, thankfully didn't close the door behind me.

The one that really freaks my family out is when I i and smile " at the person in my garden ".

I I've been sleep walking for over 40 yeard. I just accept it now as part of who I am.

I just take precautions. Hiding keys, always wearing P Js. Doesn't always work.

My ex was once talking in his sleep. One night he sat up and told me he loved his ex still and wanted to marry her. Then zonked out back on the pillow.

The next day I asked him about it and he said he had dreamt about her but didn't feel that way. He seemed genuine and kept on apologising because he didn't want to get back with her and loved me.

We broke up a few months later because he ended up moving to another country for work. His ex later moved to the same country but because she moved with her husband. She then got divorced and I sent him a message saying he should go for it with her. He did and they are getting married this year.

Turns out he was in love with her and the night he dreamt about her he'd found out she was engaged to her and he realised how much he loved her.

I wasn't mad, I'm really happy for them both. We're going to the wedding too!

Some of these are hilarious!! And others are creepy as hell Grin

I wish I talked more often, I've only done it a handful of times though and can never remember what I was actually dreaming.

There was something about being chased in a circle by a Goose a few years back but I can't remember exactly what it was I said now!

I was once dreaming that there was a large spider on the ceiling above my bed (I'm terrified of them) and I'm my sleep I actually got out of bed and was stood looking at the 'spider' and telling DH to catch it quickly! DH managed to wake me up fully and show me that there was in fact no spider!

A good friend of mine and DHs does a lot of ebaying. He lives with his parents. One night, he had a dream that he had ebayed himself so in his sleep managed to get up, go to the stamp drawer and place numerous stamps on the bottom of his feet 😂😂 Had no idea until he went downstairs in the morning and put his feet up, only for his dad to query why he had stamps all over his feet 😂

Hopeygoflightly · 01/05/2019 22:20

Staying over in my friends room, in the middle of the night I apparently got up turned on the bedside lamp and just stood there looming over her and scared the shit out of her. She told me to go back to sleep and I did. Only vaguely remembered it in the morning .

coffeeandpyjamas · 01/05/2019 22:29

Glad I’m not alone! I frequently sleep talk much to DH’s amusement. Last night I apparently said that the new staff at work weren’t doing very well as they weren’t trained to fight the zombie dinosaurs yet! No idea on that one... I work in HR!

StillMedusa · 01/05/2019 23:10

Family of sleep walkers and talkers here...
DD2 fell asleep on the sofa during A levels. Sat bolt upright and glared at me and yelled ' I TOLD you to get tomatoes!!' then flopped back .

She has sleepwalked round the house many times...her sister used to put her back to bed most nights as they shared a room , and at Uni her house mates learned to lock the doors after she once wandered into the street fast asleep...and naked!

Apparently I rant in my sleep and I'm afraid once socked DH in the eye as I dreamed he was having an affair Shock (he's lovely and we have been together 30 years!)

My dad used to recount cricket commentary in his sleep...!

Doyouneedthetoilet · 01/05/2019 23:13

A couple of incidents stick out for me, the first one was my then bf now dh had gone on our first holiday together. Apparently one night I started say woo woo whilst wafting my arms very close to his face and then said and one for luck. He thought I was nuts. The second most memorable time was at home and my dh woke up to see me sitting on the side of the bed, he asked if I was ok, to which I answered that the light was bothering me. I was the one that put it on in the first place. I was also on the medication Propranolol and that was a whole other kettle of fish, so I came of that. 😁

SteelRiver · 01/05/2019 23:17

I was in holiday in a caravan many years ago and woke my friend up with my sleepwalking a few times. One night, I told her, I was looking for a knife...in the fridge. She probably slept with one eye open for the rest of the stay.

Still18atheart · 01/05/2019 23:20

When I was little I slept walk occasionally. Once I got up And turned the bath on with and put plug in. Luckily mum was still up and heard the water running otherwise would have a flooded bathroom.
Apparently I still talk and mumble really annoyed my ex and I was like really sorry but couldn’t help it. Became quite self conscious of at by the end

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 01/05/2019 23:23

I told DH I loved him for the first time whilst asleep. He used to joke that he could hold whole conversations with me in my sleep and I'd tell the truth Grin

runsmidgeOMG · 01/05/2019 23:24

My DH once started to tell me the plot of les mis. Literally with proper detail. Unfortunately this sleep talking demon also required audience participation so I half awake ummed and ahhhd along until at least the stolen silver before saying something a long the lines of "Yep heard it before- go to sleep" (he was definitely asleep! )
He was sleep disgruntled and rolled over. Didn't remember a scoobie in the morning 🙄

I've also curled up in a corner shouting the Aliens are attacking when my dr who themed alarm went off

We're an interesting pair 😂

GrimDamnFanjo · 02/05/2019 01:23

I have only sleepwalked once at a time I was under a lot of stress. I came round in a hotel corridor in only a very short T-shirt.
I am very short sighted and had to slowly make my way back to my room looking at every door..

weddingplannc · 02/05/2019 01:56

When my DP is stressed he drinks in his dreams (he doesn't actually drink liquids, but he gets trollied in his dreams), so has been known to shake me awake and say "have we got anymore wine?" Or "damn it X I really wanted that whiskey". He's not a big drinker IRL, in fact, I've seen him drunk 10 times in 10 years and that was throughout uni.

He sleep eats too @JellySlice - right down to miming pouring milk! And I sleep talk in my first language while abroad, even if not in my parents home country... (are you me?)

Seren85 · 02/05/2019 02:04

My parents used to tell me that I told the truth in my sleep although as an adult I reckon it was their method to prevent any lying! My DH has night terrors, I'd wake up to find him "fighting" or arguing with something. He still gets them occasionally but they mostly stopped when we moved in together.

lyralalala · 02/05/2019 02:26

I sleep talk all the time. DH can tell now, but he used to get really exasperated when we first were together as he’d think we were chatting away normally in bed then I’d say something really random and he’d realise I was asleep.

The best was when we were going somewhere and he asked if I was getting out of bed and apparently I looked at him like he was an idiot and said “I’m halfway up a fucking tree, what do you want me to do? Jump?” Grin

My DD has narcolepsy and sleep talks and has sleep terrors. It’s horrendous sometimes. The best one so far was her discussing with her twin how they were going to convince me to let them go to a party and saying they should tell me they were staying at a friends. Totally busted and not even aware of it.

sashh · 02/05/2019 03:01

I'd gone to bed and my housemate was still up.

I apparently walked in to the living room and made a gesture as if changing channels on a TV remote.

My housemate asked me what I was doing and I apparently said, "I'm trying no to disclose human stories".

He said, "sashh you're asleep" and I said that yes I was and went back to bed.

BlackPrism · 02/05/2019 03:10

Once called my boyfriend a banana tit. Have never been known to sleep talk but apparently aged 19 I did indeed tell DP, after being asked if I could move up, that he was a bananas tit. 🤷‍♀️

BlackPrism · 02/05/2019 03:16

Although I do occasionally lucid dream - awful fun, Eddie Redmayne has made a few appearences Blush

ashvivienne · 02/05/2019 04:09

My DD2 was a TERRIBLE sleep walker, we woke up one night as we heard people talking. Went into DD1s room to find DD2 talking to DD1 with her responding also asleep and having a conversation.

Also used to find DD2 sitting on the stairs talking to herself constantly

Aquamarine1029 · 02/05/2019 04:38

Right before Christmas, my husband woke me up to tell me he bought a boat and not to be cross with him.

We don't own a boat.

ithinkmycatistryingtokillme · 02/05/2019 08:41

dd1 has asthma, when she was 12 it was playing up, the next morning I said that at least it hadn't got bad during the night, she just looked at me.

Apparently she had come in about 1:30 saying she was having an asthma attack, I had sat upright, looked right at her and told her to fuck off andgo back to bed! I had no recollection of it at all but thankfully dd1 found it quite amusing that I had sworn at her in my sleep.

I once gave my dh sore ribs when I through myse!f across him, while dreaming that dd1 was falling out of our bed, she was two and very rarely slept with us

ithinkmycatistryingtokillme · 02/05/2019 08:44

Threw not through, bloody autocorrect!
