To wonder where my bloody period is? 🤔

I’m 14 days late.

Sometimes irregular but ever more than a few days. This is very unusual.

I did have some pms for a day or two but now it’s totally gone. Although having a little nausea and loss of appetite.

DP and I are using condoms and unaware of any breakages. I took a pregnancy test on Monday and Wednesday, both were negative. So I doubt I’m pregnant.

Do have a bit of stress atm (dissertation due in at uni) but I don’t feel stressed enough to warrant this.

🙄 it’s never happened to me before but am I just ‘skipping’ this period?

Apologies, posting for traffic. Worried there’s something wrong 🙄 Dp is a Dr but just sort of shrugging his shoulders and being zero help 😂😢

Maybe you skipped ovulation for some reason. That's happened to me a few times before when stressed. Sometimes my period would be quite late and very light.

Honeydukes92 · 26/04/2019 20:38

@calamity

Oh, does that mean I’ll probably just come on like normal next month?

I was worried it was linked to the nausea and loss of appetite but might just be viral.

I’m currently wearing pads every day as I’m worried I’ll come on with force and cause a mess 😒🙄

I have been a right regular rosie ever since I was 10 but I have had about 3 or 4 weird cycles which have been a good week late for no real reason. No stress or anything.

The latest one ever was when I started low carbing and is a known 'thing' so are you doing anything like that?

Ellieboolou27 · 26/04/2019 20:47

This happened to me last month, totally skipped a period, no chance of being pregnant and was a bit stressed but not more than usual.
Came on as normal this month

Ellieboolou27 · 26/04/2019 20:48

Oh and I was expecting to be really heavy due to missing one but was actually not the case

Livedandlearned · 26/04/2019 20:49

Yes, has happened to me too.

Alabasterangel6 · 26/04/2019 20:50

Same here. 46 and no signs of menopause regular as clockwork. DH has had the snip. I use an app. I’m 6 days late which as a result, if it doesn’t show by Monday it totally throws spanners in the long, remote, wild camping weekend planned next weekend and subsequently my beach holiday end of May. I am not impressed at the moment.

Ludoole · 26/04/2019 20:51

I sympathise. I'm 9 days late. Been regular as clockwork every 28 days since I was 9.
Definitely not pregnant as partner had the snip 16 years ago.
Hoping it's not a peri menopausal issue.
To top it off we are having a much needed weekend away in a weeks time. Bet it happens then.... Hmm

Honeydukes92 · 26/04/2019 20:55

No weird diets or low carbing. Honestly can’t think of a reason why I’m not on. Quite relieved to know it’s not just me though.

Yes literally just wrote that in the pub garden, went inside and hallelujah Grin.
Sorry o, how you're as lucky!

Honeydukes92 · 26/04/2019 21:02

@lud

That’s exactly what I’m worried about 😂 waddling around in my pads!

Abbazed · 26/04/2019 21:02

Go 2 your Drs!

Abbazed · 26/04/2019 21:03

Snip can reverse itself!

Tumblefluff · 26/04/2019 21:06

Those saying that your periods are late but DH/DP has had a vasectomy so no chance of pregnancy... You do know vasectomies are not 100%?

Rare, but absolutely possible. POAS!

Honeydukes92 · 26/04/2019 21:16

My DH has not had the snip. We’re actually using condoms as plan to TTC soon.

We’ve not started yet though and not really taken any risks. Plus I’ve taken a pregnancy test at 8 days late and 11 days late, both negative.

I found it Honey, it's currently visiting me (day 15 for me so two weeks early) 😂
Perimenopause central here.

WhoAteMyBiscuit · 26/04/2019 21:46

This has happened to me on a couple of occasions, the latest for me was 12 days late. Me and DH had been using condoms, no breaks, no reason to be late. Did two pregnancy tests at 3 days and 10 days late, both negative. Had been a bit full on with work but nothing out of the ordinary. My period eventually came and was fine! Have been regular ever since, so a complete mystery to me! Was late 20's at the time so not The Change either! It is a worry, especially when you think you're suddenly coming on every 10 minutes and keep dashing to the loo to find nothing there. Eat well, drink plenty of water, take some exercise and sleep and if nothing by 2 weeks late, pop to the docs. Good luck Flowers

Klopptimist · 27/04/2019 00:50

Honey Go out shopping or somewhere else public tomorrow. Wear ridiculously tiny and unsuitable knickers and a white skirt/jeans/trousers. Guaranteed to bring it on.

Honeydukes92 · 28/04/2019 16:50

Still nothing!

Not even a hint!

🤔

16 days and counting

OP posts:
JustDanceAddict · 28/04/2019 16:54

I am mid 40s and missed one a few months ago. I was over 50 days since last period which, on googling, counts as missing a period. I knew I wasn’t pregnant and have been regular since. I’ve never been more than a week late (35 days) prior to that apart from being pregnant!!

Illy603 · 28/04/2019 17:01

I was 16 days late this month. I took 4 pregnancy tests and all came back negative. Wasn’t anymore stressed than usual. No changes to my diet. Guess sometimes it can just happen 🤷🏻‍♀️ Not ideal though and definitely can cause worry.

Hope it comes soon OP!

SilverGoldBronze · 28/04/2019 17:10

My cycles are usually 26-29 days long. Last month, my period was late. I took 3 pregnancy tests - one at 5 days late, one at 8 days late and one at 14 days late. All negative. My period finally showed up 22 days late. Hmm Confused Have no idea why. So weird.

Honeydukes92 · 28/04/2019 17:17

I’m tempted to go pick up another test from the corner shop and check again. But my last was on Wednesday I think. So unsure how much difference 4 days would make.

Surely if it was negative on Wednesday (12 days late) it’ll still be negative now?

OP posts:
Desmondo2016 · 28/04/2019 17:21

I would definitely test again.
