Human life comes first. That doesn’t mean I love my dog any less then the humans in my family.

For me family come first, after that human life comes first in most but not all cases.

Loving and treating [DC and pets] are different.

You should have a different relationship with your pets!! They are not DC, and to confuse the two is odd and definitely not fair on either!

Why do you assume I have the same relationship with my dog as I have my children? I haven’t said I do! Just that I love him the same amount. There’s nothing unfair going on here!

My comment was a random one that many do get DC/pets confused and treat the same, as I explained.

..but added further because of the dog attacking DC thing. I certainly couldn't kill my dc! I also don't know if I could kill any of my dpets either, but they could get harmed in the process of me beating them off any DC, of mine or others, hypothetically. Mine are more likely to be over-enthusiastic! The animals not the DC that is!

Like you love your DC but also your partner,differently, and also friends, DPs, siblings, differently.

That nobody should be forced to respect religion. It's just a set of beliefs which people choose to follow, like any other kind of beliefs. We really should have grown out of simple superstitions in this day and age when science can explain most things.

Discussion should be allowed about the Mccans I find it so odd and telling how much control they seem to have over what is published.

Having a pet doesn’t make you a parent, it’s insulting to say that being responsible for a pet comes anywhere close to being a parent

It's fine to talk about the McCanns - but engaging in daft unproven and unprovable speculation doesn't help anyone.
It's not unreasonable for them to be able to prevent people telling lies about them.
