I actually would bet my hat that post is by a man. Disturbing.

LavaLampLover · 25/04/2019 16:18

Peanut butter in a bacon sarnie works, fgs. Specially chilli peanut butter. And it's definitely better if it's real pig, not quorn.

I'm pretty much on the veggie train again but I remember discovering this mix and people thought I was nuts. No pun intended but I'll take the credit for that one anyway.

TheFastandCurious · 25/04/2019 16:29

Id like to see 3+ kids as being socially unacceptable

It already is! The judgement about large families is abundant as evidenced by this forum.

You can’t really support a limit on children unless you support abortion way past the current time limit.

Propertywoes · 25/04/2019 16:30

@balloonyellow

I wasn't talking about your post, I was talking about the many many posts on the doghouse where people are aghast at the idea of getting a dog that you might then not revolve your whole life around.

For that matter, it gets said all the time that dogs must have 2x 1hr walks a day. Who has time for that?!

I am a man. I believe that an end to the right to privacy for everyone would produce a more just society. I used the arguments I did because of the demographics of the site - if I was on a mostly male site I would raised different issues that led to my opinion.

I have committed every rape I've ever wanted to: None.

amandacarnet · 25/04/2019 16:41

Property which is why many people should not have dogs

Thelovecats85 · 25/04/2019 16:42

You could actually have a system where everyone monitors themselves. So only you have access to the recordings in your own home. Then if you are the victim of a crime you have evidence. If you are accused of a crime them you have to turn the recordings of that time over as evidence.

TheFastandCurious · 25/04/2019 16:44

*I can’t understand the whole hatred between some WOHM and SAHMs

Depending on a lot of factors and the individual either could be harder. And either could be the best solution for that family*

Yes! I really, seriously don’t understand how anyone can hold a black and white view about whether or not a job is harder than staying at home when the experiences of others consist of infinite, multiple scenarios; different types of work, different children, coping abilities as a parent, housing situations, support, finances, health etc etc.

Do people really have such narrow focus that answering the question, “is being a working parent or a SAHM parent more difficult?” they just look at one scenario and take such a strong stance either way?

That’s really odd to me.

TheFastandCurious · 25/04/2019 16:45

Sodding bold fail Angry

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 25/04/2019 16:49

Mephistopheles I am almost tempted to ask what different issues you would raise on a mostly male site but have to be censored for our ladybrains here Hmmbut on reflection I'm not sure I want to know.

Now that you've very kindly given your opinion on what actions women should be taking to stop men raping us, perhaps you could listen to women saying only men are responsible for raping women, and take it on board. If you want to curtail any freedoms or privacy perhaps start with men? Also perhaps ask yourself exactly how it's blindingly obvious to people here that you are a man...

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 25/04/2019 16:54

Fucks sake it gets worse.

Lovecat are you seriously suggesting women monitor themselves to being raped, or at least to be believed when they have been raped?

I think, and sincerely hope, it is a popular opinion here that anyone who believes women are responsible for male violence, and says so on a predominantly female forum, is a bit of a cunt.

Ewitsahooman · 25/04/2019 16:57

Yes, let's monitor every movement women make in order to protect them. That will work and won't ever backfire or be used for nefarious purposes. Silly little women expecting both privacy and safety.

Ewitsahooman · 25/04/2019 16:59

I think, and sincerely hope, it is a popular opinion here that anyone who believes women are responsible for male violence, and says so on a predominantly female forum, is a bit of a cunt.

It's always the same though with certain people, isn't it? Men are only ever responsible for their own individual actions whereas women are expected to be responsible for their own actions and the actions of every fucker else too.

MephistophelesApprentice · 25/04/2019 17:02

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles

Where did I state what actions I thought women should take to avoid being raped? At what point did I state the fault was with anyone but the criminal? I only put forward my opinion on what would reduce crime and acknowledged it's unpopularity. I identified key issues that I believe negatively affect women and showed how my fanciful idea would assist.

But enjoy your straw man. The real one is sublimely unconcerned by your opinion.

Ewitsahooman · 25/04/2019 17:05

Where did I state what actions I thought women should take to avoid being raped?

The part where they should allow themselves to be under constant surveillance....

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 25/04/2019 17:22

Mephistopheles well thank you so much for "identifying key issues" and showing us your "fanciful ideas" on how to deal with rape from the perspective of a man. How extremely kind of you.

We already live in a world where we don't accept women's words as truth. We already live in a world where proof - in the form of horrific injuries, or witnesses, or physical evidence, of rape isn't enough for a woman to be believed. It doesn't fucking work now and it needs addressing.

However we don't need you to identify issues and bestow your wisdom, thanks all the same. Men rape women. Men need to change their behaviour and their actions. Women are not responsible for Male violence and rape.

Here's a novel idea, perhaps men could shut the fuck up pontificating about their fanciful ideas to curtail womens' privacy and freedoms and instead listen to us and acknowledge our lived experience?

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 25/04/2019 17:37

"The real one is sublimely unconcerned by your opinion"

Your own words sum it up in a nutshell tbh. A real man sublimely unconcerned with listening to the opinions of women and survivors of male violence and rape.

I won't engage any more as this thread is unpleasant enough without encouraging any more hateful statements from men who don't give a single fuck about womens' opinions. I wish men like that would fuck off to a mostly male forum, IMO and I don't know why I was foolish enough to engage in the first place.

RosaWaiting · 25/04/2019 18:17

oh....that explains a lot.

SihtricsHorseWitnere · 25/04/2019 18:21

Yeah, YABU, this one is just like the last one: showing up how much of a cunt some people are.

Grumpbum123 · 25/04/2019 18:22

I walked past Nero earlier wtf is the coffee infused bacon about

CarolDanvers · 25/04/2019 18:32

People who write "End Of" or "HTH" at the end of posts should cringe at themselves.

Thelovecats85 · 25/04/2019 18:40

Lovecat are you seriously suggesting women monitor themselves to being raped, or at least to be believed when they have been raped?

Wait a minute - where did I say anything about rape. I was mearly suggesting a solution to who monitors the monitor. I don't actually think monitoring the whole country is feasible or sensable.

Plus dash cams and home survalance already excisit - I wasn't really thinking anything that different to that.

BethanyGilbert · 25/04/2019 18:51

Oh golly. This thread has got very serious.

maddiemookins16mum · 25/04/2019 19:01

Disposable nappies/pull ups should be more expensive so that people don’t use them endlessly (and filling up landfill for hundreds of years with billions of poo filled nappies/nappy sacks).

Working tax credits shouldn’t be used to top up wages for those who only want to work part time.

Smotheroffive · 25/04/2019 19:10

Same old same old I see. It's been an opportunity for the *** to air their laundry, and boy is it disgusting.

Still all the nastiness and abuse
