Hmm, well looking at piggy bank for new baby in the family (JLewis is my go to for lovely baby gifts), and found this when I searched for money box. An upside down "playful" rabbit with bound looking arms designed so that pennies are posted into the slot between it's legs. It is astoundingly crass and revolting.

How to take an innocent trinket and turn it unmentionable, what were the buyers thinking? Hey look we can do the degrade women and sexualise children message all at the same time, all in the guise of "playful", cos if you don't laugh you are just too boring anyway. It's like they forgot about target markets all together.

This is a money box, but not one I would ever give as a gift and if I ever received one of these I wouldn't be inviting that gift giver back!

I am feeling a little Shock at my usual failsafe JLewis right now!

I don't think IABU to think yuck, AIBU?

I thought this would be a thread about rabbis in the Jewish religion.....

It doesn't look too bad but it is better for hte baby if you give it £62 in a bank account for when it's older than just this money box given money is going out of fashion and the baby will just try to eat it.

Blimey, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I clicked on your link. You are sooo over-thinking this OP 😅

I think this satsmore about your psychological profile than the makers.

It looks like a Jeff Koons design. Yeuch.

Pols Potten is a great brand with sometimes some unusual design. They focus on making design stuff for adults who appreciate their unusual designs - though I agree this one is a bit too particular.

Why do people always buy new babies money boxes? Worst gift ever and they are never wanted!

"Why do people always buy new babies money boxes? "

Really handy when you are short 20p for the bus.

God, could you just imagine if you owned that?! Every bloke I know would insist on doing some kind of in and out with a pound coin trying to money fuck the bunny. Same as they always make cuddly toys shag.

The idea that a company designing poncy trinkets pour la maison would use a reference to Pol Pot as their brand name is my favourite bit of all this.

It's pretty hideous and the price is ridiculous, but I'd not say it was offensive.

The Asda one really shocked me and made me giggle when I saw it. I nearly bought it for a friend with a real live rampant rabbit.

More unnecessary tat. Never mind crass design. Cannot see anything sexualised in it by the way

I’m not remotely offended, but a money slot in the vagina (vulva for the pedants) is pretty sexualised to me.

£62 price tag is what’s wrong with it.

I was going to quote some of the comments. But there were too many notable ones. They’ve been cracking me up.... not bum cracking though - just so we are clear. Thanks for the laugh everyone. This thread is excellent!

If you're going to complain at least say it's not an anatomically correct representation of a rabbit's reproductive system.

With the hole where it is and double entendre about rubber plugs I'd be more likely to assume it was supposed to be a gay male rabbit TBH!

Its on the site a PP linked an alternative bunny on, its call 'Bum bunny' on there so I wonder if JL remained it so as not to offend, without realising there was a tiny, minuscule percentage of shoppers who would transform it into kinky bondage money grabbing bunny ahaha.

If I ran a bar I would have it as the tip jar!

Fuck me I thought it was going to be like those awful pig ornaments you could get with them in funny positions and they had crude pun names. Can we stop be habitually offended by everything ffs.

It's not for kids.

You need to join the Charity Shop Shit group on facebook to find seriously offensive and very funny stuff to get all huffy about.

Goodness, people try really hard to be offended round these parts.
