Hmm, well looking at piggy bank for new baby in the family (JLewis is my go to for lovely baby gifts), and found this when I searched for money box. An upside down "playful" rabbit with bound looking arms designed so that pennies are posted into the slot between it's legs. It is astoundingly crass and revolting.

How to take an innocent trinket and turn it unmentionable, what were the buyers thinking? Hey look we can do the degrade women and sexualise children message all at the same time, all in the guise of "playful", cos if you don't laugh you are just too boring anyway. It's like they forgot about target markets all together.

This is a money box, but not one I would ever give as a gift and if I ever received one of these I wouldn't be inviting that gift giver back!

I am feeling a little Shock at my usual failsafe JLewis right now!

I don't think IABU to think yuck, AIBU?

I don't know what's funnier the 'obviously a reference to Pol Pot' or the fruit plate in the 'customers also bought' section.

Please don’t bring it to the OP’s attention. She’ll only think it’s a dismembered dick and balls that’s got something to do with Communism.

Well Pols Potten call it "Moneybox Bunny bum gold" so they know what they think the slot is.

Did they decide where to put the slot, then come up with the position afterwards to make it possible? Whatever, it's very tacky for John Lewis.

I can't see the fruit plate! :(

Someone I knew left a job and her colleagues got her a leaving gift of a ceramic casserole dish thing with a lid with ceramic fruit on top that formed a handle. She got terrible giggles as she said the fruit was exactly like a set of bollocks.

It’s gross and you’d have to have more money than sense to but it.
thinks it may be worth a fortune on Antiques Roadshow in 50 yrs time

£62 for this monstrosity?!

I would want the bunny to sing and fucking dance for that. It's horrible for sure but I think your reaction is OTT.

It’s a bit ugly looking but I don’t think I would’ve made the sexual connotation with the slot tbh.

OMG John Lewis list it as a baby gift. That's not good. They need to sort out their algorithm.

It’s clearly not designed for a child. Also, it’s ugly as fuck Grin

Seriously overthinking this one op

The most obscene thing about that is the price.
