Hmm, well looking at piggy bank for new baby in the family (JLewis is my go to for lovely baby gifts), and found this when I searched for money box. An upside down "playful" rabbit with bound looking arms designed so that pennies are posted into the slot between it's legs. It is astoundingly crass and revolting.

How to take an innocent trinket and turn it unmentionable, what were the buyers thinking? Hey look we can do the degrade women and sexualise children message all at the same time, all in the guise of "playful", cos if you don't laugh you are just too boring anyway. It's like they forgot about target markets all together.

This is a money box, but not one I would ever give as a gift and if I ever received one of these I wouldn't be inviting that gift giver back!

I am feeling a little Shock at my usual failsafe JLewis right now!

I don't think IABU to think yuck, AIBU?

OP are you a feminist by any chance

Fuck those feminists wanting equal rights for women and a stop to all money boxes........

That is weird.

My 15yr old DS immediately said it should be kinky not playful.
And when shown the description using slot and rubber bung said "Do you think they know?"

Pretty clear there and no direction from me!

I was expecting to see some kinky bondage bunny, not an expensive upside down one.

It’s a fairly ugly money box but really can’t relate to anything else OP said about it. It’s completely inoffensive to me!

I don't know what's funnier the 'obviously a reference to Pol Pot' or the fruit plate in the 'customers also bought' section.

I wish I was a fly on the wall to see the reaction when JL investigates the reason for the high number of clicks to their bunny page Grin

I'm a radical feminist....really fail to see how this degrades women TBH.

It's not a woman, it's not even necessarily a female rabbit.

It's not bound it's doing a headstand.

It is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek and isn't for children. It's not my taste and I wouldn't pay £62 for it.

With the hole where it is and double entendre about rubber plugs I'd be more likely to assume it was supposed to be a gay male rabbit TBH!

It's gross and not of the tasteful standards I associate with St John of Lewis, but I do think it's a "comedy" bum crack and not a porn posing bunny. But it is grim. It's something about the gold that makes it seem so "adult" instead of just silly.

The only thing crass and revolting about it is the £62 price tag!

I think it's tat and a bit naff...

His bunny arms look folded not bound. Pols Potten is a Dutch brand. I would buy him for £5.

Posters go on about Daily Mail fodder and then we get this sort of bonkers shit complaint.

A candidate for Mumsnet Madness surely.

Cant see really much wrong with this (other than the price tag) - its just a bunny standing on its head.

A couple of years ago, however, Paperchase did a money box in the form of a purple glittery Jesus. That did make me raise my eyebrows somewhat.

I expect Vulva-Bunny will be turning up on the shelves of TK Maxx within the year.

I'm seeing kangaroo here, not bunny. It's meant to be a yoga bunny, no? Inclusion of a plug is a nice touch, though, for extra, er, versatility. Grin
