What’s peoples opinions on Ned Flanders? Good neighbour? Pain the arse? Is he a wanker that thinks he’s better than everyone else or a nice bloke trying to be a good citizen? AIBU to think anyone who hates Ned and people like him are simply jealous?

He's a nice enough bloke but I could never cope with following every rule in the Bible, even the ones that contradict other ones. And his kids are so wet. I'm sure that's Maud's fault as much as Ned's but running in terror at the mention of a ladybird? Good lord.

Todd at least is capable of leaving the house to enter a minigolf tournament. I've never seen Rod do anything similar.

They do have a nice rumpus room though.

Tbh I couldn't stand a Ned in my house. I'd punch him from all the attempts to save my soul with holy water.

Oh how I miss The Simpsons! Life with 3 DC was ..busy.. but come 6pm..just after tea finished, hearing the music..kids running ( like on the opening sequence!) to the sofa.. silence..me and DH tidying the kitchen together and catching up on our day..Then realizing that it had finished because the fighting had started up again!..Oh those were the days!

One of my fave silly things in the Simpsons is how mean homer is to ned for no reason, like when Ned offers homer’s family to use his holiday home for free, Homer says he’ll go as a favour to Ned but only if he cleans his septic tank on top of the free holiday

I love Ned Flanders - I really think he's the best written character in the show.

Flanders is great but I’m sure he can’t tell which son is Rod and which is Todd depending which series of the Simpsons it is, haha.

Homer used to have a good heart and want the best for his family. Unfortunately for the last decade or so the people in charge of the show have forgotten all the good bits about the characters, so Homer is an abusive imbecile, Marge is a nag, Lisa is a whining bleeding heart, Bart is a stupid thug etc.

The characters used to have a lot of depth. Homer was a good man at heart. Loved his wife and kids and supported them even when he didn't understand, like when Lisa became a vegetarian.

Flanders was always a superior better-than-thou asshole.
