Really infuriating. I’ve looked up every male namd on the various websites that list all the AR experts and none are him.

He is/was a military expert and from the badge/medal he’s military himself.

He used to be an expert on the shows pre-Fiona

Any ideas?

Charley34 ha ha I've also infuriated my husband who watches the show but couldn't care less about who is who but he's now trying to search also!

All I can say is that he was an expert/appraiser in the time pre-Fiona (as far as I know as I only saw him on the show with the previous presenter Michael Aspell). I've only seen him on earlier shows and he is usually appraising military items (goosefoot pistol and a canon from Afghanistan). However, I also saw him in an early show appraising a Titanic postcard.

Have just shared the photo with my DP who used to do the AR with the now lead on mititaria (Robert Tilney). Hopefully Robert will know! Will get back to you later this morning as dp is seeing him later

IMDb have a long list of 'cast' including presenters, but no photos. Big job, but Google might help you in conjunction with that?

@AdamAntsCrackpotHistory just being nosy here! What did your DP do on AR? Are they an appraiser themselves? Do you know how long Robert worked with this gent for? That will help narrow down a timeline. He was on quite a few episodes (mystery gent that is)

This thread has given me too many memories of Sunday evening family viewing of AR!

My DP was the firearms assessor who checked all the rifles, guns, pistols etc for safety before going in site. Robert's been doing AR for probably over twenty years. Apparently he'll ask Bill Harriman (also AR firearms) when next they speak as its likely he'll know! Have a look on the AR website for their biogs, it might help with refining times... I'm still on the hunt!!!
