I think you've cracked it! I had searched for the name Roy Butler before but couldn't find anything - not listed on the official AR websites. No bio.

hahah ! No, we just admired this gent for his knowledge of military history and this thread was simply borne out of "I wonder what his own military history is". Cue us both trying to google and getting nowhere. We're both pretty good at research so it then it turned into a 'we must know' !

He was actually featured on quite a few of the earlier shows so we had thought he would have had a bio etc. but we just couldn't find anything.

I am familiar with the 'we must know' itch!
