Me and two friends and her 14 year old daughter are going to London on Sunday night to see a show.
My friend booked two twin rooms at £80 per room.
I thought great that's £40 each for me and my friend.
My other friend has turned around and said that's around £53.50 each.
I said it's only £40 each for me and my friend as the room is £80
She has said two rooms is £160 so that's £160 shared 3 ways.
Aibu to think this is a bit cheeky?

Really cheeky! I hope you laughed and said no way!

BlueSaphire · 05/04/2019 13:08

What everyone else said /.

MarthasGinYard · 05/04/2019 13:09

40 pounds pp

I wouldn't pay a penny more

Does the mother realise this is what other friend has asked for?

If so they are both CF

GabriellaMontez · 05/04/2019 13:10

Ha! Nice try.

dustarr73 · 05/04/2019 13:10

Some people have a brass neck.Grin
Tell her no,you are just paying for the room you are staying in.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 05/04/2019 13:11

So you are already paying towards her DDs travel costs..

Tell her that and ask if she wants or needs contributions towards her DDs ticket, food and drink and any other expense incurred whilst you are there?

A bit of perspective might help her pull her neck in... or be so outrageous you can only laugh out loud!

Jux · 05/04/2019 13:11

YANBU. She pays for her child. Tell her nowt give e time to pull out if she wants to be silly.

Amongstthetallgrass · 05/04/2019 13:11

No chance! Why should you pay for her daughter?

What did you say??

CuriousaboutSamphire · 05/04/2019 13:12

Then again... it does depend on who is asking and who is the mother of the child... same friend?

whitesoxx · 05/04/2019 13:15

Just reply and ask why it's shared 3 ways as you thought 4 people were going.

It's 40 each. End of

outpinked · 05/04/2019 13:15

YANBU, total CF. She’s chosen to take her daughter so she needs to pay for her, not you.

wonderingsoul · 05/04/2019 13:16

Personally I would split it 3 ways to make it fair and cheaper for everyone.

It's not that much of a difference imo.

thetwits · 05/04/2019 13:18

A family room normally has a double and 2 singles for 2 adults and 2 children. Why didn't you go for that option?

Trekkingbeyond · 05/04/2019 13:18

wondering how on Earth is that fair? Split 4 ways like everyone else has said.

Trekkingbeyond · 05/04/2019 13:19

thetwits who goes in the double? No thanks

frazzledasarock · 05/04/2019 13:19

Why is paying for her child making it fair?

OP are you also paying for the daughters tickets and food whilst there too?

whitesoxx · 05/04/2019 13:20

Wondering will it also be fair for OP to pay a third towards her friends DDs theatre tickets, food, drinks, travel and souvenirs? Maybe she should share her toiletries with the child too in the name of fairness

PuppyMonkey · 05/04/2019 13:22

Sorry if I’ve missed it, but was it the non-child friend who actually booked the rooms? If so, she should send a very clear, none negotiable text saying exactly what the other friend owes for herself and her DD. That is £160 split 4 ways.

GabriellaMontez · 05/04/2019 13:23

Wondering how would that be cheaper for everyone?

SoupDragon · 05/04/2019 13:24

Personally I would split it 3 ways to make it fair and cheaper for everyone.

It only makes it cheaper for one person Confused

femidom12 · 05/04/2019 13:25

Stand your ground but be prepared for a fall out..

TheGrey1houndSpeaks · 05/04/2019 13:27

How could splitting it three ways make it fair and cheaper for everyone wonderingsoul??
It’s not cheaper or fairer for the op.
There’s an astounding amount of people who can’t do basic arithmetic.

FriarTuck · 05/04/2019 13:27

She is so going to be splitting every expense 3 ways....

PotterHead1985 · 05/04/2019 13:27

Hell no. Complete CF. Her crotch goblin darling child, her job to pay. Tell her to wind her neck in.

TheGrey1houndSpeaks · 05/04/2019 13:28

Crotch goblin? Don’t be such an arse
