AIBU to think asking a 5 year old to say toilet tissue is a horrible genteelism?

It's loo paper, and you flush it down a loo.

Also, has anyone else noticed how dusty it is?

Where I live I’m inclined to refer to the ‘restroom’ when out and about and I have to ask for directions.

PookieDo · 04/04/2019 16:21

Toilet roll. Always

cherrryontop · 04/04/2019 16:33

It's toilet roll.

You can call it what you like, everybody knows you wipe your arse with it.

whyshouldiworry · 04/04/2019 17:05

Bowel towels?

Thewitcher · 04/04/2019 17:11

"Non-U".

Jesus, do people actually think like that?

Who cares about what other people call toilet roll. Bunch of classist snobs.

Backseatonthebus · 04/04/2019 17:17

Loo roll here. Toilet tissue is right up there with pantie liner and sensitive bladder in terms of cringe value.

Someone asked (many pages ago) if anyone had tried 'who gives a crap' paper. We have, the bamboo one, and it's great. Love the double length rolls and the fact that it doesn't do that thing where the perforations end up misaligned and you have to tear part of one layer off. If anyone has a clue what I'm on about well done!

DrCoconut · 04/04/2019 20:08

Am I allowed to call it lav paper? It's probably common or something but it was good enough for my grandparents.

Warpdrive · 04/04/2019 20:42

@exWifebeginsat40

Yes! it was in Colchester. Can't remember what it was called though...did you go there???

Warpdrive · 04/04/2019 20:45

And the U/non-U thing is terribly tongue in cheek @thewitcher Has anyone ever read noblesse oblige? It is fabulous darhling!
